If you are mostly stealing creatures to sacrifice, I would suggest switching out Traitorous Instinct for Portent of Betrayal . However, if you are attacking most of the time, I would keep it as is. +1 I had a very similar deck that somehow ended up evolving into Rakdos control.

I know you probably aren't running them because you don't have them but Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx could help speed up the game a bit for you. With those 4 drops and the mana you have to spend on abilities it would definitely change the game. Also those Dark Prophecy in the maybe board would be excellent when combined with the cauldron sac. Rescue from the Underworld may also be good for getting some creatures back late game, but is a bit mana pricey. I don't know if you've ever considered this but running some Trading Post could work to get tokens in as well as a draw condition if you had the mana. If you ignore all my other mentions please take a look at Undercity Informer . Easy control for you to get rid of hopefully good cards which could make all the difference. Hopefully you'll find something useful out of those but if not I enjoy the deck idea and especially the price tag. +1

3 CMC is your most crowded spot, maybe replace Act of Treason with Portent of Betrayal to get the scry might be worth it on your particular curve, you want to steal creatures later once you have a sac outlet in play anyways.

Consider adding two copies of Whip of Erebos - you can return creatures from the grave for the sac value - especially Festering Newt and Dragon Egg

Would use Traitorous Blood for sure, but it's no longer in Standard format.

Awesome, I realy love the idea +1 !

Some small suggestions after playtesting:

  1. You probably need more one-drops gainst aggressive decks. Tenacious Dead is a chump blocker that works really nice with Blood Bairn . Talking of chump blockers: Pharika's Chosen .

  2. Taking control of an opponents creature is cool, but Grim Return is even cooler. Especially if it targets one of his creatures you just sacrificed.

  3. Planeswalkers could trouble you.Dreadbore or Hero's Downfall are the Solution. I would consider these at least as sideboard options.

All in all a great deck !

I made a deck very close to this one, and I'm curious. You said that the deck is budget based. What cards would you swap out if it wasn't going to be budget? Like which cards for which cards to make it better, but up the price.

how about you give your opponent an Akroan Horse or two to really add to your sacrificing.
