Gruul Turf seems to work against Dragonmaster Outcast and Scute Mob XD

One thing I notice right off the bat, you need a bit more dragons! Love the intro!!

Sarkhan Vol is definitely a lot better than Purphoros, however, they're both good and work really well depending in what's need in the deck, but I like Sarkhan Vol better cause he can give you five dragons, give creatures haste, and take control of others. A card that could be useful in here is Rites of Flourishing , gives you an extra draw, and helps play additional lands. May give your opponent an extra draw, and it's mostly all in the flavor of how it can help you and mind the extra draw of your opponent.

Dragon Egg can be that extra kick your looking for, it works well with Purphoros, God of the Forge and Scourge of Valkas what's not to like when it dies! you'll have the mana to pump it even if it's just 3 mountains makes it a 5/2 dragon..

Thanks for taking a look and leaving some suggestions and comments xKrenko,
I have been wanting to squeeze in Sarkhan Vol as you mentioned because he really fits the theme well, but then I wonder if I should make room for something like Doubling Season which would boost the Scute Mob , creature more tokens form Dragonmaster Outcast & Utvara Hellkite , and double the loyalty counters for the planeswalker. But what to remove right? I think the logical step would be to remove Purphoros, God of the Forge since the CMC is close, and both are sort of enchantments anyway. I'm undecided

This is an amazing deck idea. The second I saw it it just kind of blew my mind. If I could +10, I would. GREAT JOB. The only thing I would recommend would be Thundermaw Hellkite

Hmm, I do have a few Thundermaw Hellkite , would fit in pretty good i think I'll have to play test.

Caravan Vigil and/or Viridian Emissary would probably be good includes against the more aggro decks.

Growth Spasm and Harrow are good against non-blue.

Another option is upgrading to snow-covered lands and adding in Into the North .

Search for Tomorrow is always good for a one drop acceleration (provided you are willing to wait).

debating swapping out Utvara Hellkite , which I almost never get out into play for something new like Xenagos, God of Revels . The thought would be that I would give the incoming dragon token from Dragonmaster Outcast haste, beef it, and swing with a 10/10. Feedback on this is wanted. Thanks.

Definitely a +1 from me. Impressive work. You should consider some damage prevention though possibly to keep your stuff alive.

@LtMiller117, thanks for the comments and vote. I've been debating that too, and was wondering what I could put in to supplement the Lightning Greaves which is my only creature protection at the moment. Then there is a tougher question when you find something worthy of putting in, and that is what the heck do you take out? I'm always looking for that better card, i think we all do that too. Thanks again.

Looks pretty cool! And holy cow I LOVE scute mob! I have some of those in my beast deck and they are hilarious! The only thing that comes to mind for me is finding a better card than rampant growth. To me it seems like a card that helps you get one land might as well just be another land card in your deck. As far as other cards for getting land out, I kinda like 'into the wilds' and 'seek the horizon'. Burnished Hart is also neat because it is a creature in the meantime until you sac it to go get some land from your library.

Also, as far as dragons go, 'death by dragons' is really funny when played in a multiplayer match XD

@puppyking86 @blackblade

how do you feel about Explore over rampant growth.

March 5, 2014 2:47 p.m.

Blackblade says... #15

@LtMiller117, I've come across Explore but decided against it for the simply reason of, "what if I don't have an extra land to play?"
I want that guarantee to place a land down into play when i cast a spell.

@blackblade You make a good point, but my rebuttal is that you have the potential to draw one as well. now I'm a bit divided on it...oh well, haha. I'd just sideboard just in case. I think your cards are good as is. :)

What about taking out 3x Sakura-Tribe Elder for 2x Courser of Kruphix to get out your lands faster, and 1 more Thundermaw Hellkite .

Founds you a card Walking Atlas . I think this can help get your outcasts to trigger.

I would drop Burning-Tree Emissary completely and finish your play set of Cultivate, Rampant Growth, Sakura-Tribe Elder, and Scourge of Valkas. Burning-Tree is good but he doesn't really fit your land strategy. Also Alpha Authority is a good protection spell.
