Utvara Hellkite makes for an awesome spawn pit in the Noble format. The only problem is his high mana cost, but if you can manage to get him on the board early it's pretty much game over. This deck list gives me the mana ramp I need to accomplish this, while providing enough defense to survive until that point.

My ideal opening hand for this deck is Llanowar Elves, Overgrown Battlement, Axebane Guardian, Dragon Hatchling , and three lands. As you probably guessed, Overgrown Battlement and Axebane Guardian provide my much needed mana ramp and defense until my mana pool is big enough to cast Utvara Hellkite. Reclaim and Evolution Charm are used to retrieve Utvara Hellkite if he should be killed. Annihilating Fire and Disintegrate provide the firepower to permanently handle any kind of nasty creature in this format. There a few combos in this deck. Here are some of my favorite:

This deck is a lot of fun to play in a group game. I often become a big target once Utvara Hellkite hits the board, but usually, the dragon spawning is impossible to overcome. Now, I can't take complete credit for using Utvara Hellkite as my commander card, but I did build the rest of the deck on my own. I don't remember exactly where it was that I got the idea, but I remember there being talk of mana ramping to get Utvara Hellkite on the board as fast as possible. The closest thing I found to this build was at this link.

As always, I enjoy crushing my little circle of friends with something fresh and unexpected. If you guys have any suggestions please let me know.
