G'day guys, thanks for stopping by. My take at a Dragon deck in standard, R/G with a tiny splash of W and B. Its a fairly ramp orientated build, spend a couple of turns setting up, then throw some pain at your opponent.
A rough breakdown of choices;
Atarka, World Render, Massive body that grants double strike to attacking dragons, need I say more?
Dragonlord Atarka, Absolute powerhouse. An 8/8, flying trample, and kills Siege Rhino on enter. Hell yes.
Dragonlord Dromoka, Some much needed lifegain on a big body that can't be countered. The added bonus of not having to worry about your opponent causing trouble on your turn is just icing.
Dragonlord Kolaghan, Mainly here to enable Haste on my guys, I don't expect the second ability to become relevant often.
Kolaghan, the Storm's Fury, Grants a buff to attacking dragons, can be dashed in an emergency.
Thunderbreak Regent, Cheap to cast, nice body, and a lightning strike when my dragons become targeted. Aww yeah
Savage Ventmaw, Gain 6 mana for attacking? Sounds good. Thats 1 short of a FREE Atarka, a 5 damage Crater's Claws, the list goes on. Expensive to cast but not impossible.
Elvish Mystic and Sylvan Caryatid for that early ramp and colour fixing this deck needs. The Caryatid's and Haven of the Spirit Dragon are the only source of Black or White mana for my dragons, so are essential in a match.
Dragon Tempest, Haste on any of my big threats will really put the pressure on my opponent. The burn on enter is nothing to scoff at either.
Frontier Siege, Ramp, all day, everyday. Drop it down turn three, cast an Atarka or even an Ugin turn 4. If there's already one out, casting a second as a fight enabler is also a fantastic move.
Ugin, the Spirit Dragon, I own one, it's going in. Shouldn't be to hard to cast either.
Commune with Lava, Time will tell if this is the best pseudo-draw spell for this deck, but with all the ramp going around, having another even 2 or 3 cards to use is a huge help. Instant speed and last until my next turn really helps.
Crater's Claws, A flat-out fantastic burn spell. This deck can generate a lot of mana, between Frontier Siege, Savage Ventmaw and the Dorks, burning my opponent for 10+ can easily ruin their day.
Lands are a work in progress, but i think its pretty solid.
Looking for any suggestions and advice you have to offer. Thanks again.
