SCG Night: 2nd Place! —Jan. 28, 2015

Small but competitive 10-player tournament. I completely reworked my sideboard with heroic builds in mind. I went 2-0-1.

Match 1 was my draw, going up against a WU heroic deck that blew me out game 1 (t2 Hero of Iroas, t3 W and U ordeals.) Game 2 saw him manascrewed, but I was too for awhile, I eventually got the upper hand, but it took forever. With 9 minutes left for game 3, we went to time.

Match 2 my opponent was going for the Temur Ascendancy combo with Outpost Siege. Game 1 he got it to work good enough for a 16-point swing with a Genesis Hydra and friends. I sided in my 7 enchantment-hates and played what felt like a control deck, winning games 2 and 3.

Match 3 saw me facing a midrange Temur build. I took game 1. Game 2 had a flurry of Savage Knuckleblades rip me a new one. Game 3 saw my Stormbreath Dragons getting revenge. (He had some trouble getting blue mana sources. I kept killing the Rattleclaw Mystics when I saw them.)

A good night. I'm thinking about trading Yasova Dragonclaw back out for Goblin Rabblemasters.

Shaman of the great hunt is a good card as it can ramp its self and with fliers you'll be getting lots of buff on those creatures making them less frail. You might want to improve you're mana base maybe take out 2 mountains and add 2 forests
