I created this deck while sitting around cleaning up some cards. I just started pulling some card aside that I liked, but I didn't really have a home for. Obviously this isn't going to be maxed out, but I think it's pretty good for $15. I usually play Esper Dragons in standard, so it's a breath of fresh air to play with a budget brew. I took this to FNM and I actually was able to go 2-0-1. Had some lucky matchups, but wow. Here is an analysis of all the cards. HOPE YOU ENJOY! :D
Bonesplinters: removal at a low cost. We want to sacrifice our creatures so the sacrifice isn't that bad.
Dragon Fodder: helps us stabilize against aggro decks. It also gives us fodder for Nantuko Husk and Felshbag Marauder. They also work well with impact tremors.
Evolving Wilds: gives us mana fixing and works well with landfall.
Fleshbag Marauder: this helps us removal. We can sacrifice a goblin or ally and keep the 3/1 while they lose something they care about.
Impact Tremors: gives us value when we play creatures. The retreat plus this works well too.
Kalastria Healer: this card drains our opponent. It gives us life against aggro if they don't waste a burn spell on it. It can also block their goblins well. This deck also has lots of allies, allowing us to drain for free just for playing our creatures.
Kor Entanglers: this card may seem a bit mediocre. That view is wrong. This card allows the deck to win out of no where. You can play this, tap down their creature, and sacrifice everything to the Nantuko Husk. Even if that doesn't work, it allows us to tap down a creature whenever we play a land if we have a retreat down.
Nantuko Husk: this card is insane. It allows us to get triggers off of Zulaport Cutthroat and do something with our tokens. It can also threaten to block larger creatures allowing us to hold them back.
Retreat to Emeria: the retreat is a value train. We can pump our creatures or get more tokens. This card pairs great with Nantuko Husk, Impact Tremors, Zulaport Cutthroat, Kalastria Healer and Kor Entanglers.
Swift Warkite: this is one of the best cards in the deck. It just does SOOO much. It offers a 4/4 flyer for 6 which is just meh, but the return part is what makes this card great. The dream is to return your Fleshbag Marauder to the battlefield, sacrifice a token or another worthless creature, then get it back into your hand, and you can cast it again. You can also get back a Nantuko Husk and swing for lethal out of no where.
Sultai Emissary: this card works well with Zulaport Cutthroat and Impact Tremors. It's also just a value creature.
Vampiric Rites: this is just a 1 of because it's a great turn 1 play, but a mediocre topdeck. It provides value and help us crawl back into the game against aggro.
Zulaport Cutthroat: this card pulls the entire deck together. It's a target for the Warkite, it provides drain, triggers the Kalastria Healer, and creates an insane amount of value with Nantuko Husk.
