TehPudding Epic Struggle is better in a Rhys deck, I don't often get to 20 creatures early or consistently.

WilliamsIan why the hell did your play group allow Ajani to ultimate? Pretty crazy, lol. I've done something similar before, but not twice like you experienced.

Love token decks, this one is fantastic. Have you considered adding Regrowth or similar ( Noxious Revival is my personal favorite) to get even more value off of some of your more powerful cards?

PlattBonnay I already run a lot of recursion in the deck.

you changed the name! anyway you should check mine! we could have a nice back and forth Trostani and friends .....I ripped most of it off from your deck anyway.

Oh OK, I only saw a few pieces of recursion (e witness, the titan, and reveillark) so I figured adding a few more wouldn't hurt.

PlattBonnay I try to avoid cards that are one use and that's it. With recursion being creatures, I can easily recur the recursion, I hope that made sense. Thanks for the comments!

Wow i love were you've taken your deck !! it really shines now :) N.B. i will be taking lot's of notes on this i love the way your recursion connects if i could i'd plus 1 another time but i can't keep up the good Work !!!!

i noticed you removed a couple artifacts and tutors . Anyway once again deck is looking really good .

Thanks for the kind words Ze_Geuse81! I'm glad you're finding the deck to be helpful :)

I removed Phyrexian Processor , It's often a pretty bad draw early, plus it's tokens are mediocre without trample. I don't think I removed tutors, I actually added a Chord of Calling .

Have you considered Fastbond in place of exploration?

July 29, 2014 5:58 p.m.

cian114 says... #15

fatboy95ci Fastbond is banned in Commander.

Ah, my bad. I just found out that card existed earlier today.

How about Mentor of the Meek to help with card draw?

August 3, 2014 9:55 a.m.

cian114 says... #18

PacoBob I had the mentor in very early versions of the deck, but I removed him. I find him to be too slow and very conditional because I need a constant stream of tokens just to trigger him.

I'm currently slowly working on getting the cards to make this deck myself. It seems fantastic! I've playtested it on here a few times and card draw seems to be the only notable weakness. Have you had other ideas beyond what's already in there?

I run Greater Good in mine to help fix card draw, also Sylvan Library helps to pick out the things you want from top deck, and Land Tax is a good way to filter out the land in the deck if you're falling behind. I also run Hunter's Prowess to help fix some of the card draw. Least that's what I did with my trostani deck.

PacoBob Sadly, draw is the colors' greatest weakness. There's just not enough GW draw spells. What I do in the deck is more like draw manipulation in the form of Sylvan Library , Sensei's Divining Top , Courser of Kruphix and Oracle of Mul Daya , these cards make sure I don't draw land when I don't need them. Graveyard interactions are also a form of card advantage, I run a lot of these as well. Outside of Harmonize , there's not a lot of draw in green or white...

WilliamsIan I was just about to buy Greater Good when I found out about the Judge promo, a while back. I decided against doing so because of the discard 3 cards clause. Don't get me wrong, it is an excellent draw engine but I feel it'll perform beter in a GB or a GBW deck mainly because those decks have a lot more graveyard interactions, more so than mine. I highly recommend Sylvan Library especially with trostani as commander, because 8 life is not a lot if you have some token generation going on. Land Tax is not very good in a green deck. It is very rare for me to be behind in land, G's strength is ramp so I opted to rum more of that instead of the Land Tax . I was really close to buying one of these, too, but in green it is rare for me to be behind in land in a game. If you plan on running Hunter's Prowess , you should also consider Hunter's Insight . With the prowess you'll likely get 2-for-1'd because it's sorcery speed, with the insight at least it's at instant speed, there's still a possiblity of the 2 for 1 but it allows some flexibility.

Nylea, God of the Hunt ?

indestructible 6/6 giving everything trample?

August 14, 2014 6:58 p.m.

cian114 says... #23

adventfaith The deck doesn't revolve around constant beats. It's goal is to build up a board, staying back (if possible) until I can blow someone out with a giant board state or with a Craterhoof Behemoth . There's really no room for Nylea. Early in game my creatures are tiny, late game I can just tutor up a win condition.

This is a pretty tight deck so I'm digging here just to come up with suggestions.

Karametra, God of Harvests > Hornet Queen - I know you cut Karametra, but what are you getting out of Hornet Queen if you don't already have a ridiculous board state? Without enchantments like Parallel Lives and Beastmaster's Ascension that's a lot of mana for something that isn't really a threat, just a means of holding your opponents at bay. Weigh that against the ramp potential of Karametra that's only 1 devotion away from a big indestructible creature with your Commander out.

Gaea's Cradle > Selesnya Sanctuary - I know Cradle looks a little risky since it gives you nothing without a creature in play, but this single land opens you up to mid-game double plays. In stead of having only 1 mana open after dropping Elspeth you might have enough to cast Harmonize or Cultivate.

FancyTuesday I would love for an opportunity to add a Gaea's Cradle for the deck, but it's too expensive. I don't like Karametra. Running Karametra would mean I need smaller creatures to cast just to get her to trigger. She's a dead draw late game, at least with the queen, I have a chance against fliers. GW has little defense against flying creatures so I choose to run the queen and Silklash Spider .
