I'd ditch the Fireshrieker for a Strata Scythe . It is a awesome piece of equipment when combined with Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth which you already have in the deck.

Some other cards that might help you out on the sacrifice angle: Butcher of Malakir , Champion of Stray Souls , Desecration Demon , Dictate of Erebos , Endrek Sahr, Master Breeder , Sheoldred, Whispering One , and Woebringer Demon .

phc -- Thanks for the suggestions. The unfortunate thing about Strata Scythe is that it only looks at the cards' NAMES, not their types. So it would rely on a lot of basic swamps being on the battlefield. More often, Lashwrithe and Nightmare Lash give the creature more P/T.

I'll consider those creatures you suggested. I actually threw this deck together last night. It used to be commanded by Geth, Lord of the Vault , but on a whim I switched out the commander and took Mindcrank out to make it less mill-specific. I'm working on a more Ob Nixilis-specific list.
