Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief is not only an amazing commander but one of my favourite legendary creatures ever printed. Her ability makes her amazing to clear your opponents board, whilst buffing herself in the process to swing in the air for huge amounts of damage. And mono black edh has such an insane amount of ramp it can achieve this incredibly easily. In addition to these already insane abilities black has some of the best boardwipes and control elements in the game, along with numerous card draw engines that keep the fuel on the fire. Focusing on these aspects lets you control the game and end it with Drana whenever you want to.
