Actually, I only have two dragon wizards. The other four are the electromancer, snapcaster, archivist, and tibor and lumia. The thing about them is that, other than tibor and lumia, which gets flying by other means, the others are there for their ability. I want to keep them out of combat as much as possible.

If you insist on including Blightsteel Colossus, you have to know I'll be targeting you first in every game... infect in EDH is just too much IMO.
April 6, 2013 12:59 p.m.
Before you commented, I had removed the Colossus. Look at entire list before commenting. I would like him in the deck because he assures that I have a way to not deck out. The infect thing is a secondary. But if you're going to be a dick and tell me how to build my deck, fine, he's out.
April 6, 2013 1:05 p.m.
He was in there when I commented. I did look at the whole list. And I'm just saying, if you have a deck that makes it not fun for other people they won't want to play with you. I didn't say you couldn't include it.
April 6, 2013 1:13 p.m.
No combos, even with my proposed rules for limiting them, no strong cards that I have NEVER gotten to play with (Colossus), or you'll kill me first, and yet you still tell people to hurry up and build their decks. Yes, you're telling me how to build my deck through passive-agressivism.
April 6, 2013 1:15 p.m.
Also, as soon as Nate said the thing about wizards, I remembered that combo, so if you did comment, he was already on his way to the acquireboard.
April 6, 2013 1:16 p.m.
That combo being the mana combo we discussed as clunky and acceptable.
April 6, 2013 1:16 p.m.
And how do you think people will feel if you just insta-kill them with some broken combo? I'm trying to make it so everyone, NOT JUST YOU, can have fun with this. You might enjoy being a dick to people, but it's not fun for anybody else when you are. Include them if you want, just know that it paints a gigantic target on your face.
April 6, 2013 1:23 p.m.
I accepted Blightsteel Colossus as OP, but you still won't back down on even HAVING combos in the deck. You weren't happy about Charger/Sword, even with proposed limits and the setbacks to the combo itself, you don't like the commander combo, what do you want? How about this: you build me a deck, and I'll concede when we start playing, so you can play the way you want. Or, how about this, I'll keep playing Standard or Modern decks, and you do whatever the hell you want.
April 6, 2013 1:26 p.m.
Okay, I calmed down. I removed the Charger and Malignus. Replacing them with Azure Mage and an as yet undecided card, most likely one of the RtR Hellkites, or Balefire Dragon .
April 6, 2013 1:31 p.m.
Nice job putting words in my mouth. I said combos are unfun, I didn't say you couldn't have them. I'm not the rules master. I even said last night that the niv-curiosity is fine! Any easily interrupted combo is totally A-OK in my book. It's not like you're playing Storm or anything. How about you calm down and stop raging about other people wanting to have fun? You can have more than "I'm a dick" type decks as well, nobody's forcing you to play combo or have Niv as the commander.
April 6, 2013 1:32 p.m.
Okay, okay. Read the comment I posted just before you. Peace?
April 6, 2013 1:33 p.m.
Seriously, though, if a combo is not instant speed I think it might be okay, depending on the mana cost. I just dislike combos that win you the game and come out turn 5 or so, since that ends the game before it even really starts for Commander.
April 6, 2013 1:34 p.m.
The rules for an alternative version don't qualify who kills everyone as winner, but by doing other things. Win < Turn 5 gets you disqualified. I wasn't talking about Reckoner before. I had accepted that last night after winning that way. He's only good/feasible for not getting killed (literally, not like Doom Blade) in STD or MDN.
April 6, 2013 1:37 p.m.
I'll have to take a look at the alternative rules, then.
April 6, 2013 1:39 p.m.
They looked pretty fun. It was on a DailyMTG article a while ago. If I can find it, I'll post it.
April 6, 2013 1:42 p.m.
Put the Charger back in. I like that combo, and all you have to do to stop it is kill him, destroy the sword, counter either piece, etc.

Mindmoil and Whirlpool Drake homie! Enter the Infinite is super late-game but that's another instakill. And then there's Spellbook , Library of Leng , and Reliquary Tower which are all also handy in any draw deck. Any Firemind deck is rough to play against, and this one looks like no exception. +1!

I love Mindmoil . That just looks so awesome. And the flavor. Ohhhh the flavor. Lol
I could probably slip in a Reliquary Tower and Spellbook , but a Library of Leng would be harder for me to find. I may try to put in an Omniscience and Enter the Infinite combo, but I'm afraid if I played with anyone bigger than me that wouldn't go so well for my bones.

A thought: if you were really looking to be a d-bag with the draw strategy, you might try to run a few cards that have the cycle ability. Gempalm Sorcerer might work well, though since most of your wizards are dragons, I guess the flying ability might not be as awesome as it is could be otherwise, still just as an added way to piss people off, which I'm sure you'll agree with me is buckets of fun.
