June 1, 2020 Banned and Restricted Announcement —June 1, 2020
New Companion Rule:
Once per game, any time you could cast a sorcery (during your main phase when the stack is empty), you can pay 3 generic mana to put your companion from your sideboard into your hand. This is a special action, not an activated ability.
So what does this mean for this deck? Nothing actually. Since this deck basically ramps so much, paying the extra 3 is not a significant problem. I still think that this deck gains more with a card draw engine in the companion zone.

Shriekmaw is a great utility spell for Yarok decks. It also triggers Risen Reef, just like Mulldrifter.

You've pretty much got the Fierce Empath down, able to nab Deadeye Navigator and Palinchron. You can actually get more value by adding Woodland Bellower. I nab Empath + fatties and Wood Elves/Farhaven Elf and 2 lands.

Sire of Stagnation is straight gas. That's 8 cards off 1 opposing fetchland. I've drawn 12 cards in a cycle of turns before too!

fmastrome2008: I like the idea of Shriekmaw especially when I can evoke early game below the 3 cmc requirement. I'll have to test bellower out but sounds like gas too. I like sire of stagnation but not sure if that's overkill with card draw especially when I have one that is accessible in the companion zone already but I will test it out for sure. Great suggestions!

If you're worried about hand size, fetch Reliquary Tower off Rune-Scarred Demon or Sidisi, Undead Vizier.
You're really going to like Woodland Bellower. Pulling 6 cards out of your deck off 1 ETB effect and accelerating your board presence is amazing. I wouldn't recommend it to everybody for a reason!

Beautiful. I had something along the lines of this sloshing around in my head but you nailed it. Good Work.

Wow, all very inspiring. I will make a deck that is based on yours, same commander and companion. Thank you for the inspiration my dude (or gal).

Yarok: Kinnan and Keruga is not a bad combination too but you don' draw as many cards or get to abuse Keruga as much as Yarok. Cheers!

I’m not sure if I want to do a deck with keruga. I am not the best at making decks with requirements...

Yarok: You can't use Kinnan as the commander with Keruga as the companion. The commander counts as part of the deck, and Kinnan doesn't have CMC 3 or greater.
Enral: This seems like a hard deck to analyze -- I'd have to see it function to really understand how well it works with no low-CMC spells. I might look into Coalition Relic as a form of ramp, perhaps? But I very much like the thought put into ways to ameliorate the restriction, with free spells, split spells, et cetera. Are there any good spells with cost reductions that could work? Such as Avatar of Growth, Avatar of Woe, Curtains' Call, Mystical Dispute, or Price of Fame.
Trinisphere also seems like a MUST here. It doesn't affect you very much, while crippling your opponents.

Daedalus19876: Thanks so much for your suggestions and feedback! Trinisphere is SPICE!

DeinoStinkus: Great idea, definitely something that I can try out!

God this seems so powerful! I'd love to build something around these two one day.

Spectrous: Keruga is just so good with Yarok! The restrictions definitely could be worked around and playtesting shows pretty promising results. Thanks!
