The goal is to make people draw and take damage. Previously I thought it was commander damage and was wrong. However, my decks have been over power level for my group so it's a good thing, and this is a fun deck that keeps people flush with cards, but is dangerous enough my commander gets removed A LOT.

Rarely is max hand an issue due to the amount of cards cycling through my hand, and the amount of times I discard all to draw 7.

Mill has A CHANCE of being a problem due to the Helm of the Ghastlord so I have some mill protection.

If you do play this deck, frequently you will have to make choices on what you want to discard/shuffle into your deck each turn and what you actually want to play. This makes the creatures and effects from the battlefield more valuable than sorceries due to the fact they survive hand cycling.

You REALLY want to get one of the damage boosters as it will actually make you a pretty serious threat, while 7 damage from a hand cycle is dangerous, that x3 Torbran, Thane of Red Fell is terrifying.

Due to all the discard, splashing some discard effects in is super useful, Tergrid, God of Fright   is pretty effective with the random discards and the hand discards (usually flush 7 card+ hands), as is Sangromancer for some pretty impressive life gain.

My pod has a Tergrid deck, a MoM Poison Pre-Con and an artifact deck generally, so that's the context I'm usually playing, sometimes with only 3. (see my Tiamat deck for 1v1) A mill deck is getting added instead of the Poison Pre-Con, so we'll see how it goes.

This is the second commander deck I have built.

I am trying to keep it relatively budget as I don't play commander enough and don't want to boost the power too much.
