Turns out dredge on a land is pretty good for The Gitrog Monster .
This deck aims to combo out as quickly as possible using Dakmor Salvage and a discard outlet. If you want specifics for this very complicated combo, Leptys has a Gitrog primer (Gitrog Dredge Combo [Primer]) that goes through every step of the combo very thoroughly. The gist of the combo is to discard Dakmor, triggering Gitrog, and use that draw to dredge Dakmor and repeat. If done correctly, you can draw your entire deck and then loop Lotus Petal to gain infinite mana, and then use that mana to infinitely loop Praetor's Grasp and Assassin's Trophy to remove all of your opponent's libraries and permanents so they die at their next draw step.

Without being disrupted, this deck list is able to combo off and win, on average, on around turn 4 or 5. This is not always feasible because your opponents will of course try to stop you from winning, but Gitrog has a pretty resilient combo and by turn 6 or 7, you should be able to win fairly easily.
