Did you already look at the price tag of the deck? x'D

April 22, 2015 11:54 a.m.

Eldrazi reshuffle the deck, so I'm not sure about reanimating...

FAMOUSWATERMELON you Goryo's Vengeance him in response of his ability. The rest of your yard is shuffled by the way, including the Vengeance which is kinda handy. :>

Ryotenchi sure he does... He's my fav' ramp card of all times. :>

Also, Sidisi dies too easily to bolt >,<

Uhm... It looks like I'm going to make a primer for this one too! And that I'm going to give it a ton of feature tokens. Too bad for infinite Cthulhu army tho :<

Point taken on the price tag thingy. Mez Orb but no Fatestitchers? Dude.

April 22, 2015 4:29 p.m.

elpokitolama says... #8

So hard to get two fatestitchers at the same time in the yard due to all those spaghetti monsters wandering around... :<

I'm sure I'll be able to mill my opponent out just with my orbs. While shuffling back everything every time. :>

Also, orbs are have a wonderful synergy with Sidisi, and are pretty good when it comes to have a reliable selfmill solution.

i have an issue with your headline statement "more consistent than grisel cannon" this deck folds to ''leyline of the void'' in a heartbeat...also, It does not have the same potential to win the turn it reanimates. Emrakul only comes out for 1 swing, that could mean 0 permanents and 5 life left to the opponent, not to mention that you have to instant cast spaghetti monster before he shuffles himself away.

way too many things have to go right for this deck in order to win. Grisel cannon can work around several factors very easily

Khanye, I'm afraid you might have not understood what this deck is in the first place. You can't judge its consistency on its resilience on one of the least played graveyard hate card nowadays, too. By the way, you'll almost never see any graveyard hate in mainboard. And my deck then doesn't fizzle at all against Leyline. I don't know a single person that would be ready to sacrifice more than two SB slots to a Leyline, and yet 3 Nature's Claim are patiently waiting for some to come.

About the common Grisel cannon deck now: by definition, a glass cannon deck is done for if its one and only try to combo off fizzles. With my deck, you can combo off up to six times. By the way, I would love you to show me a deck that is able to survive after seing almost all of its permanents sacrificed with only five life points against a deck that is able to put another Eldrazi on the table 1 to 3 turns after this one that has also the ability to swarm the board with Zombie tokens. My goal isn't to kill my opponent in a turn, even if according to the few playtest I made on untap this happens often due to the large amount of damages a modern player takes from his own lands. It's to lock your opponent out of the game. Also, with this deck you're not forced to mulligan until you have what you want, since there's still a ton of ways for you to get Goryo's Vengeance and some mill power.

And just how can a Glass Canon deck be more resilient to graveyard hate than this one? Both are using the graveyard (even if mine is often shuffled back into my library), so the problems are the same -if we forget the lack of blue and green mana in general.

By the way, there are only two kinds of decks that can survive to Emrakul: Merfolks if they had enough permanents to save their Aether Vials, and burn since this last one doesn't need a lot of mana to run. Maybe souls sister too. But this last one is becoming more rare as time pass by...

Also, I was wondering of putting a better beater than sidis to be reanimated... What do you think of Nicol Bolas? I now it might be janky, but a turn two handwipe seems to be a really nasty thing to do...

I have been piloting the glass cannon for two years now with tweaks left and right, and have had great success with it competitively. I have come back from an emrakul hit to beat the player with Grisel himself. Nicol bolas is a great addition, I actually like that over Sidisi in your build. I don't see how you get a swarm of zombie tokens. Sidisi can give you 2 max, once on reanimate and one on the swing. Zombie Infestation is a better card for swarming. Through the Breach helps me play around graveyard hate, and lets me kill instantly with the big bad demon as well.

I am a huge supporter of instant reanimator, would love to help you fine tune this puppy, i was just drawn back with your comment about being more consistent than the glass cannon because it is my pride and joy. lol, sorry i wasn't picking a fight, just was thrown back

Ahah, don't worry that's absolutely fine! Yeah, it's true that I do no run Breach and my only way to play a nice beast from my hand is to discard it with the rats. Sidisi is here for the pist reanimation phase, because her interaction with Mesmeric Orb can really swarm the board, since each creature you mill gives you a new token. I love the infestation too, I'm running it in a Madness deck where it performs well!

Also, as you are a Glass Cannon player do a lot of player try to kill Griselbrand when it enters the battlefield, forcing you to use some pacts of negation? Or (it's what I do usually) do you wait for them to tap out first?

April 24, 2015 4:55 a.m.

Khanye says... #16

I am usually comboing off turn 2 with it, so either I pact to save grisel or they just lose. want to playtest right now on untap?

That's fine with me! Even if it not going to be an easy thing for me, tho. Gonna bring Bolas in by the way! :D

I don't really need counterspells, because I just need to resolve a Goryo's Vengeance to get an incredible advantage in the game. But nice suggestions! Thanks :>

You sure?

Spell Pierce maybe, just if someone counters it?

I'm with watermelon. Replace bound/determined with Spell Pierce or Negate. Or you can max-out Dispel.

Also, you NEED more lands, TRUST ME.
