This is a zombie tribal deck centered around Varina, Lich Queen's filtering and lifegain abilities.

This filtering doesn't generate card advantage, so it's still very important to be drawing cards; some zombies, as well as enchantments like Alhammarret's Archive should help with that.

Notable Synergies

Gravecrawler + Rooftop Storm + [Any sac outlet] (like Grimgrin, Corpse-Born, or Havengul Lich reanimating it) can be fun. The effects of this vary depending on which permanents you currently have on the battlefield.

• If Diregraf Captain is out, the targeted life loss can slowly kill any and all opponents.

• If Plague Belcher or Wayward Servant are out, this will slowly kill all opponents simultaneously.

• Diregraf Colossus will give you unlimited 2/2 Zombie tokens.

Archfiend of Ifnir + Varina, Lich Queen can lead to multiple asymmetrical board wipes, just by attacking with zombies!

Depending on the state of your board and/or graveyard, Gray Merchant of Asphodel + Zombie Apocalypse has the potential to have an huge impact on the game, potentially knocking players out immediately.
