This is well thought out. Clever name too. Have you used Fascination, Skyscribing, or Prosperity before?

jwe94: Maybe in time, I will also find that Dark Petition is too slow.

K34 Thanks I have tried Prosperity and Minds Aglow before but I just didn't care for the mana to card ratio
kehnneh It's still a good card this is just my more competitive commander deck

ShadyPear Meekstone seems interesting, Skirge Familiar is a good card but I'm not sure, and I've tried Whirlpool Warrior before but it'd be worth some testing to see if I should use it again
July 9, 2016 1:19 p.m.
From my experience with them so far, Meekstone offers me a fair bit of protection, although that may be because my playgroup has a lot of big stuff decks. Skirge Familiar hasn't really done anything as I either don't draw it or it's not in play when I want to combo (or I don't want lots of black vs blue/red). How is Kederekt Parasite? I feel like you would be too reliant on Nekusar being in play to have it consistently active.
July 9, 2016 9:01 p.m.
ShadyPear Kederekt Parasite is mostly just a way to double the damage once Nekusar is out for a and doesn't do much else
July 9, 2016 9:05 p.m.
JamerzGamerz Fevered Visions is to slow for this deck unfortunately

Cards I might suggest would be:
- High Tide helps get things like Sphinx and Mind Over Matter on the field quicker, just might have to tune land base more towards islands
- Intuition
- Gamble
- Mana Drain (depending on budget)
- Chrome Mox, Grim Monolith, Mana Vault, Lotus Petal
- Lion's Eye Diamond I'm not a big fan of this one, but with the right mana curve it's really good
- Cascade Bluffs and Sunken Ruins since Candelabra of Tawnos is insanely expensive and you have Mind Over Matter in already
- Temple Bell for infinite combo with Mind Over Matter and Nekusar on field
- Chain of Vapor really well costed bounce that can be a showstopper (especially if you Wheel and Deal, then respond to it with Chain of Vapor targeting a problem creature). Even better with Snapcaster Mage already in.
- Lim-Dul's Vault I see this has been suggested already, so it's just my extra two cents.
- Karn Liberated this one I'm currently playtesting, and with mana rocks and ramp in I've liked it thus far. Gives them a target they must deal with, and leaves you alone for a while to set up wheel combos.
- Red Elemental Blast, Blue Elemental Blast, Hydroblast, Pyroblast these are heavily dependent on meta, but they have saved my ass more times than I can count
- Remand this one's way more of a maybe, but I find it funny to bounce there big ass spell back to hand, then wheel the same turn or during my main phase.
- Mindbreak Trap this is more sideboard material. Saved me against an Animar bounce deck that had Kiki-Jiki in it, and the new Ulamog
Just my two cents. Bare in mind a lot of my suggestions are built more toward ramp combo. They may not fit at all with the deckstyle you are shooting for.

High Tide is to build around
Intuition needs more redundancy and recursion than the deck has
Gamble is already a maybe
Mana Drain is worth considering but I don't know what counters I'd use
Chrome Mox is decent but while Grim Monolith and Mana Vault are good I really need colored mana. As for Lotus Petal it's just to small an impact
Lion's Eye Diamond's downside is to much of a wet blanket for me personally
I think my landbase is good for now
Temple Bell gives to many chances for an out while you're comboing out
Chain of Vapor is to risky since they can throw it back at you
Lim-Dul's Vault used to be in the deck but it was benched
Karn Liberated's cost is pretty unattractive to me
The Elemental Blasts (at least the blue ones) aren't quite necessary
Remand is alright but I'd definitely go with Unsubstantiate first
Mindbreak Trap is to conditional for me

I'm pretty sure Master of the Feast should be considered somehow. He seems to be solid to your deck philosophy. But, I only play 1v1, so I can't say for sure.
August 6, 2016 9:26 p.m.
Other win combo is Psychosis Crawler is the same combos of Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind, other option is Consecrated Sphinx
August 7, 2016 4 p.m.
K34 Master of the Feast is alright if a little slow. I used it for a while but I just wasn't feeling it personally.
Spoosky Thanks for the upvote. Geier Reach Sanitarium is a good card and with the discard do more than Mikokoro, Center of the Sea but I don't really like to take out sources of colored mana. Psychosis Crawler unfortunately does not combo like Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind as it does not do damage.

Have you thought about Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur? Also how would you handle facing Oloro, Ageless Ascetic?
August 31, 2016 1:04 p.m.
delusiions Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur is to slow for this particular deck but it's fine in a more casual Nekusar deck, and against Oloro you mostly durdle until you can either draw or tutor Phyresis/Glistening Oil
August 31, 2016 2:04 p.m.
Have you tested Burning Inquiry? I see it in your maybeboard, but is it worth getting a copy for my own nek deck?
August 31, 2016 6:21 p.m.
I haven't really tested it to much but I personally think it's something you'd want to draw off a wheel to get the last bit of damage but otherwise it seems underwhelming (plus random discard stinks)
August 31, 2016 6:54 p.m.
Yeah, you're right. I missed that part the first time I read it

Thoughts on Past in Flames and more fast mana? This would also increase the effectiveness of Yawgmoth's Will. Humble Defector also is good early card draw and plays good politics. Also, if your playgroup allows it, you could run a wishboard (freeing up deck space too as you can side out the infecty cards et al). Lastly, Pongify is very powerful, and I would highly recommend it.

Thoughts on "Leyline of Anticipation"?
I use it in my nekusar deck for surprise. "Before the end of opponent's turn" - cast out nekuzar and phyresis (and curiosity as long as you have mana). Then on your turn, cast a 3-4 mana cost wheel spell, then you draw 7(or whichever) plus the effects of curiosity if you have it in play. Then cast burning inquiry or play another wheel spell. 10+ poison counters. Win.
Also, burning inquiry has saved me a lot of times as a last resort when my opponents are down to three remaining poison counters to lose the game and i cant cast the 3-4 wheel spells. Otherwise, i just discard burning inquiry if it isn't the case. I agree that it do more harm than good, but if to be used to win the game instantly with just 1 red mana, its a good card.
I think Leyline of Anticipation in nekusar EDH would be a great distraction for your opponents as well.

Delta-117 I considered Forgotten Creation and it's definitely a neat card I just don't really think it fits here since the wheel is one sided
kehnneh Dark Petition is just too slow I'm afraid
