I keep forgetting to look on people's formats... Oh well. If you're looking for a good stall card, Fog Bank is good.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I'd rather use something like Feeling of Dread to stall until I get removal or creatures.

Since you've got the Ethereal Armor s and Sphere of Safety s maindecked, I feel like it'd be better to replace the two Fiend Hunter s with Oblivion Ring s. I could see the Fiend Hunter s if you put in some Restoration Angel s, since those would work well with Geist and Palisade Giant . Also, I like the idea of Divine Deflection , but functionally I can't really see it helping you out too much. More Feeling of Dread s I think would be the best way to go. Things like the Sphere of Safety and Palisade Giant work to allow you to attack with some creatures while keeping damage off of you on your opponent's next turn. Four Feeling of Dread s would support that well, not to mention they're great at keeping Geist alive.

Thanks Verelen. You make a good point about the Fiend Hunter s and Oblivion Ring s, so I'll cut the Fiend Hunter s. I currently don't have any more Feeling of Dread s, but they should be easy to get. If you like the deck, please +1.

Chubbub says... #6

It's great if you miracle it, but I am running 2 card:Sphinx's Revelations, a Tamiyo, the Moon Sage , and 3 Jace, Architect of Thought , so if I can get one, I'll probably only run one. Thanks for the suggestion!

This deck looks really solid +1 from me. Perhaps if you were using Geist of Saint Traft for tokens a lot then Sundering Growth might be useful

Oh you have it already, my bad

Barny44 thanks for +1 and suggestion. Only problem with Sundering Growth is that I have to destroy enchantment/artifact, so my opponent would have on out.

You should definitely have some counter spells in your sideboard. Cards like Dissipate , Negate , and Syncopate could really help you deck out, especially against a deck playing Terminus . They can also be used if you know your opponent has something big they need to play. Countering it is a great way to mess their day up. Rootborn Defenses is a great response to cards like Bonfire of the Damned , Mizzium Mortars or Supreme Verdict . I would -1 Sphere of Safety +1 either Rootborn Defenses or Feeling of Dread .

I am going to put in 2 Dissipate s in the sideboard and 2 more Feeling of Dread s for the Divine Deflection s, I just don't have any more of them, but they should be no prob to get at FNM. Thanks for the comment, and +1 if you like.

I can think of Aegis of Honor , which is cool with you don't get one of Divine Deflection s.

I thought about a "combo" with Sphere of Safety + Propaganda /Ghostly Prison , but not sure if it would really help or change anything here though. +1

Bathory says... #14

Plus, Aegis of Honor would count as a Enchantment for Sphere of Safety and Ethereal Armor ~~

Thanks for the suggestions and +1 Bathory. Sadly, this deck is standard.

This is a real solid deck. have you ever thought of running Talrand, Sky Summoner ? he could provide evasive attacks and blockers, and as simple as it is Unsummon could save you a few times as well. Martial Law could lock down threats, and Lyev Skyknight can trade with a variety of creatures, and he detains any nonland permanent to boot. Azorius Justiciar locks down two creatures, and Azorius Arrester can hold as a cheap blocker/early detain. Hope these help!

Also: I need comments/suggestions for a new deck of mine Blessed Earth

Chubbub says... #17

Thanks Kratos1810, I commented on your deck. I actually used to run a playset of Martial Law s, they were to slow when there were things like o-rings which are cheaper and in my opinion better. Azorius Justiciar is to high cost, and the others are great, I just don't know what to take out for them. I don't know if you gave this a +1, but if you didn't feel free to.

What should I cut for them(Other than Moorland Haunt , which I don't currently have)? If you liked it, feel free to +1.

Solid looking deck, +1, might have a go at something like this myself.

KrisLoom186 says... #23

Chubbub I don't understand Moorland Haunt , it requires 3 mana just to bring in a 1/1 flyer. How would you use that to your advantage? Geist of Saint Traft brings in 4/4 angel tokens that attack right away.

December 30, 2012 2:20 p.m.

Chubbub says... #24

KrisLoom186, Moorland Haunt is good because, picture this: An enchantment that you can play for free, and each turn pay 1 white and 1 blue and exile a card doing nothing at all in your graveyard for a 1/1 flying token. It's good because it gives you one extra resource that you can ignore if you want and just add a colorless instead. Yes Geist of Saint Traft is way better, but it's also legendary. It's like Think Twice because it gives you resources at a higher cost than usual, but multiple times on one card. And thanks to impo for the +1.
