Hair_Titan: I am really on the fence with them. They wouldn't get boosted from Sorin, because I would never bother to do his emblem. I just don't think they would be used amazingly in this deck. I have yet to test it though, so I might put them in.
ChiefBell: I kinda just made this deck because I thought it would be pretty fun to lay, and awesome to win with. You're correct that Sorin is a win-con, but so is Jace. There are definitely a lot of flaws in this, and I'll try and fix them oncce I get a chance to FNM again.
Thanks!

I wasn't criticising, I just wondered. I have absolutely no constructive feedback to give because my collective experience of playing with or against a deck like this is 0 haha.

I like it, but I may be misunderstanding something here; there appears to be only 42 cards in the mainboard? Either way, I like it. +1 :)
February 3, 2013 11:29 a.m.
Yeah it's a prototype. The cards in the maybeboard are cards I need to complete it and the sideboard. Thanks for +1.

This is very nice! I know personally I just picked up a foil play set of High Priest of Penance and they have worked me wonders! I also suggest you take out Victim of Night ...
February 3, 2013 2:13 p.m.
What should I take out for them, other than the one Victim of Night?

Its funny that kmilan said that because i think 1 less Supreme Verdict could do you some good... Take out 1 verdict for 1 priest...
February 3, 2013 6:33 p.m.
Hmmm, I really like the Verdicts. I think taking out a Cyclonic Rift might be better, cause they're awful early game, and I barely have any creatures so a flat out board wipe might be more useful.
February 4, 2013 3:34 p.m.
Honestly, I really think you should take out the creatures all together. The angel is only really good if you have creatures in your graveyard so you can gain card advantage when she dies, and chances are you will often have to wipe before they attack into the priest. Also, I would take out Rapid Hybridization and Divine Deflection , since they are not good enough to justify the -1 card advantage they create.
February 4, 2013 4:12 p.m.
Blakkhand, I'll take out the Rapid Hybridization s and cut the High Priest of Penance s back down to two, but the Divine Deflection are useful sometimes, and are great against burn. Do you think they should be side boarded? I'll also take out the Angel. What should I put in for all the cut cards? Thanks for the help, and if you like it, +1!

dude. it says you have 38 cards.. TO did that to my deck a while ago.. just giving you the heads up. I like this though. mine is not really supefriends, but it is at the same time.. you should show it some love man, deck:tactical-nuke-gtc-ready
February 4, 2013 4:58 p.m.
Yeah, the Divine Deflection would serve you a lot better in the side board. Good things to add would be more D-sphere, more Ultimate Price , Underworld Connections , an additional jace, Feeling of Dread , more land if you're under 26, and possibly Forbidden Alchemy .
February 4, 2013 5:42 p.m.
gnarlicide, it actually does have 38 cards. It's still a WIP and the maybeboard cards complete it.
Blakkhand, I don't want any more D-Spheres because they aren't permanent if they have enchantment hate or the like. Also, why do you say another Jace and 26 land? Do you think 2 Underworld Connections are good enough?
Thanks for the comments, and feel free to +1!

ah got it.... yeah I just officially finished mine today. the list is the FNM list for this friday. Got my pre order box in the mail. got some hella mad pulls... Ended up with 3 gideon's, 1 obzedat, merciless eviction and 2 blind obedience's. the rest are just trade fodder.

Often, when using jace you will simply -2 him twice in a row for insane card advantage, so you won't really need to worry about not being able to play one in your hand.
25 is the minimum amount of land you want to have in most control decks, and esper tends to have a little bit higher casting costs than the norm. I have done lots of testing with esper walkers and I have discovered that there is just no way to avoid having all 26 of them.
1-2 is about how many Underworld Connections you want to have in a deck, because otherwise it really starts to eat in to your life total.
As far as the spheres are concerned, don't be afraid to run a full playset. I really doubt that anyone would side in some hate just 5-6 enchantments that aren't even necessary for you to win.
I recommend putting your final deck plan in the mainboard instead splitting it into the maybeboard, then put all the things you still don't have into the acquireboard. That will clear up a lot of confusion. I hope I answered all your questions. =)

Planeswalkers love taking extra turns with Temporal Mastery right?
February 9, 2013 8:53 a.m.
Do you think two is good enough? Also, what should I take out for them?
February 9, 2013 9:26 a.m.
... I was going to leave a more meaningful comment, but the long trip down here led me to forget what I was going to type. After reading many of the previous comments it's clear this deck has dramatically changed, I'd be almost willing to bet only a few cards beyond lands are unchanged, as such it would be a very good idea to hide old comments in the update section.
Ah now I remember, if you're looking for a wincon maybe you could consider Nephalia Drownyard as a control deck you're likely going to be going way into the late game and even some milling can go a long way (also if you have a Tamiyo emblem out you could be drawing 3). For your sideboard I would suggest at least some counterspells as against a harder control deck you could easily end up having to send planeswalkers into counters.

Demarge thanks for the advice. If you like the deck, +1.

Chubbub - I'm interested in how this deck works, I really can't imagine it because I've never built anything like it. I assume it depends on Sorin to actually win? But I'm not sure. What happens if somebody just uses burn on your planeswalkers ? And what happens if somebody just keeps a creature or two in hand to stop the board wipes from being effective? Sorry, I just don't understand this archetype that much!
