Deck seems very interesting. I know a lot of people dogged Gideon, Champion of Justice , I was one of them. But, I finally got to see him in action over this past weekend and he is a HOUSE. I don't know that I would count on him as a win condition, but he definitely isn't a BAD card by any means. Overall, an interesting deck with a nice spin on a super friends shell.

Thanks. I too thought Gideon would suck, but he seems like he could rock the house in the right deck.

Leardawg says... #3

Exactly, he just needs the right shell. He needs to be built around, as opposed to just going in any old white deck out there.

I think that the problem with Gideon is that game one in a mirror matchup he will just be a dead draw or not a very good 4-drop. Of course, he can be sided out game 2, but still... Was he a lot powerful as far as testing went?

I actually have not had time for testing yet, but my meta is very creature heavy, so Gideon should hopefully work out well. Also, at the least he is a 5/5 indestructible for 4, which is not too bad. If you like the deck, +1.

very cool. esper rocks and this deck seems to have a lot of different ways to win from token generating, milling and board wipe combos. definitely going to try it out. +1 from me!

Chubbub says... #9

card:Curse of Death's Hold is a good idea for the sideboard, but what should I take out?

barankai2872 thanks a lot for the kind words.

Why so many planeswalkers man?

February 16, 2013 4:10 p.m.

Chubbub says... #11

It's a Planeswalker deck. That's what the "Superfriends" hub means.

miracleHat says... #12

in response to wanting playtests, fyi going against there be beasts hiding in the shadow. first game Predator Ooze did some pretty terrible things to the planeswalkers faces, you might want a Tribute to Hunger / more Detention Sphere for going against him. you might want to add more Lingering Souls to get more of an early board presence also. game two, i think that the lack of countspells with the undoing of this game. overall thoughts, needs more Detention Sphere /adding Tribute to Hunger /Devour Flesh , sideboarding Negate (Essence Scatter ) /mb Dissipate /Syncopate

Chubbub says... #13

Thanks a ton for play testing. I updated the sideboard, but I don't know what to take out for 2 more Detention Sphere s and 2 Devour Flesh .

February 17, 2013 7:23 a.m.

Chrisbox says... #14

Wow this looks awesome, as for the sideboard changes you want I personally dont think Negate is worth it when you already have a dimir charm at all so you could drop those for more Detention Sphere . Even if you dont input Detention Sphere Syncopate is still probably better than negate. +1.

Chubbub says... #15

Chrisbox, thx for the +1 and I will change out the Essence Scatter s.

February 17, 2013 10:22 p.m.

Chubbub says... #16

I meant Negate , not Essence Scatter .

February 17, 2013 10:22 p.m.

I have a similar deck called Esper Insanity exept no Jace, Memory Adept but 2 Obzedat, Ghost Council

February 17, 2013 11:29 p.m.

Chubbub says... #18

Cool, I'll check it out, if you like it +1.

Murder might be better than Ultimate Price , depending on how your mana is. Orzhov Charm is also very useful, although in this deck it would serve mainly as removal. Still might be better than Ultimate Price .

Hey t his deck looks amazing and looks similar to what I'm trying to do. +1. Would you mind if I borrowed some of your ideas?

February 26, 2013 2:15 p.m.

Chubbub says... #21

Goody, that's a good idea, I'll take out Ultimate Price for Murder .

Uzumaki1, thanks fr the +1, and I don't mind at all if you borrow any ideas. Also, feel free to post your deck here so I can check it out.

Witchbane Orb should be in the sideboard. I'd add either two more Azorius Charm, two more Lingering Souls, or a couple counter spells

February 28, 2013 4:16 p.m.

Chubbub says... #24

The reason it is main boarded is because it protects my walkers from any target spells. Thanks for the input though, and if you have any other advice, feel free to post. Also, if you like it, please +1.

February 28, 2013 4:22 p.m.

hollandboys says... #25

I understand that but I still feel like it is not worth 2 spots in your mainboard that can be filled with a counter spell or something like Azorius Charm which really pisses off decks like boros and naya
