Have you ever thought of Bloodgift Demon over Underworld Connections? You don't have to tap a land to get the effect and it's another body to protect your planeswalkers

Yeah, I'll put in the dimir counter that mills. I would rather play Underworld Connections because it's cheaper, optional, and can be activated as instant.

Hey, I think I faced you on Gameday last Saturday. I was the other esper control deck([augur-of-control]) with the Psychic Spiral that faced you round 1. +1, like the list, though I am a bit confused about some card choices. For instance, why Barter in Blood over 2 more board wipes, like Merciless Eviction or Terminus? And I would run 4x Azorius Charm, especially because it is just straight spot removal if you have Nephalia Drownyard out. Lastly, why Tribute to Hunger over 2x more Murder or Devour Flesh or even the Azorius Charm.

Barter in Blood is much cheaper than Merciless Eviction and most of the time Terminus, it also gets rid of indestructible creatures. I'll take out the Tribute to Hungers for more Azorius Charms. Also, I doubt I played on game day because I didn't go. Lastly thanks for the help, and if you can, try to +1 again, because it didn't go through.

terminus hurts aggro ALOT, especially turn 4 miracle. It also circumvents indestructibility, hexproof and basically nothing short of a counterspell can dispel it.

I know, but they are not to great if they don't miracle, that's why I'm running 2. If you like the deck, +1.

The more you run, the better your chances of hitting one when you need it.

March 4, 2013 4:29 p.m.

Chubbub says... #8

It also increases my chances of hitting them when I don't need them.

I'd say replace underworld connection with blind obedience

March 6, 2013 8:43 p.m.

Chubbub says... #10

Why? It's already in the sideboard. It's also not really meant for mainboard also. But if you have any particular reasoning, I'd love to hear it. Also, feel free to +1.

What do you think of putting in Think Twice or Thought Scour for more draw power? I was just wondering why you mainboarded Underworld Connections (i'm assuming more draw power). Awesome deck!

Chubbub says... #12

Yeah Underworld Connections is for card advantage. Bothe Think Twice and Thought Scour are nice, but I just don't know what to cut. Thanks for the compliment, if you lil the deck, +1.

I saw your post in the forums so i thought I'd throw in my thoughts. I dont know how i feel about Underworld Connections , idk how it works out for you but i might still rather play another Lingering Souls and Azorius Charm or take em out for 2 Think Twice . i just feel like theres other things you wanna be doing turn three to play it and then you still wouldnt activate it for a while because your 4 and 5 drops are your win cons. but other than that +1

And if you wanna take a quick look at mine too id really appreciate it. I need it ready to go for FNM as well 4 Color Control

I took your advice and took out Underworld Connections. but I put in Essence Scatter for it because aggro and midrange is so popular. Thanks for the +1

Looks like a fun deck...

I'd run 4 Sphinx's Revelation's though!

Chubbub says... #16

Thanks, what do you think would be the best option to take out for the Sphinxes'? Also, if you like the deck, please +1.

Salazar968 says... #17

I would honestly pull the Essence Scatters. They do not seem to be as effective against the rest of the meta, just against the major aggro decks.

Chubbub says... #18

I will pull them once I got to the SCG Tourny coming up, but right now only 4 out of the 20 people at my FNM play non-aggro or mid-range.

Chubbub says... #19

I changed my mind and put in the Sphinx's Revelation.

If you were at Harrisons for GTC game day, you may have met me, im not sure.

March 10, 2013 12:53 p.m.

Chubbub says... #21

I didn't go to Game Day, but which Harrison's do you play at? If you play at the Nashua, maybe I'll see you round. If you are looking for me, I'm the young kid, that's 12 yrs old. I'm pretty noticeable in a crowd of 15 yr olds and up.

March 10, 2013 2:01 p.m.

This might be a matter of opinion but I think Restoration Angel could find it's way into the deck!

March 15, 2013 8:46 p.m.

Chubbub says... #23

Maybe. There are only 4 targets for it to flicker, but they are awesome to flicker. I don't really need the body though, so I'd rather put Cloudshift in, I just don't know what I would cut.

March 15, 2013 8:49 p.m.

Personally, I am thinking Restoration Angel for the Flash mechanic... Cloudshift is just not worth a spot in the deck... I would drop the Augur of Bolas for more Snapcaster Mage's and if your Meta is aggressive then Feeling of Dread is the card for you!

March 15, 2013 8:55 p.m.

Uzumaki1 says... #25

Hey, my meta is also very aggressive as only 2 other players play on troll and they also play Agro on some nights as well. How does your deck hold up to the aggressiveness of other decs if it has very few creatures to block? The problem with my deck is I have 74 cards but t seems to run very well (beats all my friends decks) so I'm gonna run it today and see how it goes. It's similar tomy previous deck planeswalker party but since adding cards seems to work better. Please take a look.Esper control
