I can't really suggest anything that hasn't already been mentioned. Some added draw power (Think Twice or Thought Scour) could be helpful, but I'm not sure what to recommend cutting. Assuming that the Foils are noted because you have them in paper - very impressive! +1

Thx, I also don't know whatI would take out. Thanks for the +1!

I would take down the Sphinx's Revelations down to 2 or 3. They are bad as multiple in hand early and make for awkward starts.
I would suggest replacing a couple with Think Twice for more deck cycling. They also give you an additional chance to top deck Terminus on each turn for the miracle

harrydemon117, I'll try the change. Thanks for the comment, if you like the deck, +1.

Sure thing. Let me me know what you think of mine tonight for FNM and +1 if you like:

I don't like Jace, Architect of Thought . The only thing his +1 is good against would be a token deck that doesn't have Wolf or Beast tokens, and only if Sorin, Lord of Innistrad doesn't donate his Emblem to the cause.
You're only going to gain a maximum of 4 cards from him before he dies, and if you take the pile of 2 both times, your opponent either doesn't know how to do Fact or Fiction or you're taking the worse cards over the single one.
And, really, his ultimate won't happen unless you're already winning enough to use it.
I'd remove him in favor of another Sorin, Lord of Innistrad and, honestly, a third Think Twice .
Don't underestimate Think Twice . Instant-speed card-draw is one of the most crucial aspects of any successful control deck. And against other control decks, the game will be decided by who draws the most cards.
Lastly, beware the occasional Mind Grind . It's my tech for getting around Witchbane Orb .

Thanks for the advice, I have made the changes you suggested, and if you like the deck, plz +1.

One of my hardest match-ups are decks like these with all my decks besides Zombies when I play them. I on the other hand am scared shitless of Jace, Architect of Thought vs Jace, Memory Adept , Memory Adept actually helps dig some decks where Fact or Fiction and stalling with -1 on attacking creatures can help delay the game further into your win cons. Adept can't protect himself where Architect can.
April 7, 2013 8:11 p.m.
But Memory Adept wins you the game. If you can protect him, you win.

Syncopate
is too easy to play around. Since Esper is a "grindy" game your opponent will have time to wait a turn to cast their spell.
@Chubbub I would remove Rest in Peace from the sideboard...it has BAD synergy with Snapcaster Mage . A better option would be Purify the Grave if you want something vs Reanimator style decks. It has built in flashback, is instant speed, AND your opponent won't know you have it. If you have Rest in Peace on the field, Junk Rites players will just go the mid range route and hard cast their stuff...not to mention they always sideboard Abrupt Decay to combat this trick anyway
Nice job so far. Looks like a few more tweaks and less admitted "misplays" lol and you will be doing well :)

Thanks for the feedback guys, I really appreciate it. If you like the deck, please give it a +1.
harrydemon117, do you think two copies of Purify, or Tormod's Crypt would be better?

I think 2 copies of Purify the Grave . Tormod's Crypt falls under the same category as Rest in Peace in that your opponent will see it coming. Not to mention that you COULD use Purify the Grave in the mirror and remove their targeted spell with their Snapcaster Mage as well. (also works well if they get it milled to the graveyard)

Since Dragon Maze how about Crypt Incursion . Leaves your spells alone and gets you a ton of life late game after a Supreme Verdict

Problem with Crypt Incursion is you have to leave 3 mana open. With Purify the Grave , you only have to leave W open and it has flashback
April 30, 2013 5:50 p.m.
ponokarate, I originally was going to put in Crypt Incursion , but along with harrydemon117's points, I don't really need the life. If my opponent has enough creatures in the graveyard for it to be useful, I should already be fine. Thanks for the suggestion anyway, and if you like the deck, +1.

I'm not a huge fan of esper control in standard just because they cost a lot to build and I never see one win. I almost always see one in top 4 but I never see one in 1st. To me, spending 1000 dollars or more on a deck and never winning with it is a waste of money.
May 30, 2013 4:25 p.m.
Well do you have any tips to make it better now that I've already spent thousands of dollars?
May 30, 2013 4:43 p.m.
Argh... Why did you ask me to look at a black deck... Lol jkjk looks good. +1 :)
June 4, 2013 3:52 a.m.
I would consider adding one Aetherling or one Obzedat at the cost of one Sorin. Both guys are freaking kings and give you a additional wincon. They worked wonders in my control decks, especially Aetherling. But that's just my $0.02, othervise very nice, balanced deck. +1
June 6, 2013 4:54 a.m.
Sorry, that supposed to be AEtherling and Obzedat, Ghost Council .

@Human_Rogue_21, Resto is nice, but I'd rather have a board wipe in her place. I need the Augurs for card advantage, and Feeling of Dread is in my sideboard.
@Uzumaki1, It's okay that you have no creatures to block, as long as you have Boardwipes, Stalls, and Spot Removal. I will check out your deck.
