incesticus Thx for your feedback! You sound like me circa 2008-2013 having loads of fun playing the jankiest of jank haha!! This idea sounds like fun but it is brutal out there on the field son, unless your meta is soft and forgiving you are going to get eaten alive out there! With that said, seems like a fun idea. Seems like this combo shell would need loads of mana though, maybe it would work best in a Jund shell? Although Rise from Tides could be a sweet play, it is rather expensive and every sweepers trumps it. Cheers!

The second sheet of leaks reveal some pretty cool cards for us!! The leaks also spoiled reprints of check-lands such as Dragonskull Summit .

tjones3293 Yeah, it's pretty decent! Might swap a Harnessed Lightning for one of those.

Anyone realize that the top left card is a planeswalker? And can anyone tell what the ult says?
I really hope that Insight card is an instant, but its probs a sorcery. :/
The middle black card on the left. Ima guess its a Liliana of the Veil ult but only for creatures.
Although it might kill me, I will probs still use the bottom left card xD

It's called "Jace (unreadable) Castaway"
Look on reddit, a very good theory is going around.

Jace's Defeat1U:Counter Targer Blue Spell. If it was a jace planeswalker spell, scry 2.

TheBooman which theory?
lol hilarious counterspell....how wonder how this Jace is going to be on the broken scale, but if he's anywhere near as convenient as Baby Jace was, we will definitely play it!! (he was a core part of our deck during all his legal time in Standard, 4-of nothing less).
June 15, 2017 11:20 p.m.
How reliable is the mana base for this deck? And considering the release of Bolas and it being tri-color and expensive as fuck, what do you think about Prophetic Prism and/or Cryptolith Fragment Flip?
June 16, 2017 8:17 a.m.
They would also fuel Unlicensed Disintegration early since Torrential Gearhulk is the only artifact in the deck.

Onahail you know there is always Pyramid of the Pantheon to consider.
And the theory that the GW all get Rekt and sent to different planes acorss the Multiverse.Jace-IxilanLiliana- DominariaGids-TherosNissa/Chandra-????

Onahail Bolas at 7 seems decently priced. It's not like we will run 4 of them and need to slam on the table as fast as possible. The magic number is probably going to be 2 copies, 1 main and 1 side. Valid thought with Disintegration but I'm not sure about the ramp, it's probably worth playtesting though, let us know if you do!

"4B"
Enchantment
Whenever a creature an opponent controls dies, create a colorless Treasure artifact token with "T, Sacrifice this artifact: Add one mana of any color to your mana pool."
At the beginning of your upkeep, if you control (six?) or more Treasures, you win the game.
Not entirely sure if the cmc is "1B" or "4B", and not sure if u need 6 or 10 Treasures to win, but could this be a wincon when Ixalan comes out? Keep in mind BFZ and the other sets will rotate. Personally. this is making As Foretold look pretty good :3
June 16, 2017 7:59 p.m.
TheBooman I actually was considering that but my concern is that it does nothing for 4 turns regardless of when you pull it. You basically want it in your opening hand, anywhere else its kind of a dead drop. I like Prophetic Prism because it cycles for 2 and provides mana fixing, and Cryptolith Fragment is another wincon that provides mana the turn after it comes in. Pantheon costs 2 mana to give 1 mana for 3 turns before you get anything out of it and there's plenty of ways to get rid of it before it comes a problem. Im thinking of playtesting 2 prism 2 fragment since they both do the same thing basically and you really dont need 4 or even 3 of either.
June 16, 2017 8:32 p.m.
EastsideRock the only one that technically ramps is Cryptolith Fragment but I recommended it because it doubles as a secondary win-con. Prism doesnt ramp but it cycles and provides mana fixing which is pretty solid.

I've been using liliana, death's majesty in the main board and she's won me games. By the time I get her out I've usually burned out my opponent enough to where they can't deal with her, and they take two or three Torrential Gearhulks to the face. And I don't know if it's been suggested, but Censor is in the place of Anticipate in mine. Though in some cases it probably is better to have in sideboard against the right kind of aggro, especially against Improvise decks that run ten to fifteen lands.
June 17, 2017 11:34 a.m.
That card.. I am astonished it is an UNC but I LOVE IT. It most likely will replace my anticipates in the deck I am brewing.

New Description section: Retired MVPs!
For the ones that have been following the deck since the start, this is place to reminisce and remember where we came from!
I got this idea from people asking me for the optimal lists we had from previous formats, which I haven't kept...but in the end they were all made possible mostly because of these MVPs.

You control playing, Bolas worshipping, grixis loving, megadeth quoting sum'bitch. I've been lookin' at this deck for awhile, and I'm extremely excited to enter into the control field as a minion to our lord and savior, Nicol Bolas. This list has been an invaluable resource to utilize as a competitive grixis standard deck, especially with your detailed explanations and statistics. I'm hoping to include some funkier, more casual stuff, like Insult. The dream was to create a deck that comboes Shadow of the Grave with cycling and stuff like Chandra, Flamecaller, Collective Defiance, Fateful Showdown, Cathartic Reunion to draw boats of cards at once, and run graveyard and discard synergies, such as Faith of the Devoted or something like Rise from the Tides. I thought about Brain in a Jar to make discard spells instant, but the whole thing feels a little janky. Any ideas?
Thanks, and HAIL BOLAS
