I got past the hydras with two To the Slaughter's. Oddly enough I got beat by a WB Eldrazi deck.

At my gameday I went 2-2. I won vs G/R Pummeler and the Grixis control mirror. I lost a close game to UW flash mainly due to my own mistakes. Then I lost to Ramunap Red, which I've had very little opportunity to playtest against, although I'm still not that surprised by the result, just trying to explore sifferenr options available to make the matchup vs Ramunap better wothout hindering other matchups too much.

Made it to finals and lost to Mardu SuperFriends. He literally had the perfect hand both games and played planeswalkers each turn and I had to mulligan to 5 both games and my hands were garbage. First time it had happened all day.

Wuddup savages!! I go away on business for a few weeks and this is what I come up to?? Yall are crazy haha, happy to see what is working and what is not working for yall.
I managed to jam a few games and the deck was doing pretty well, especially against GB decks. I will have to play more though to see if I should do some fine-tuning to adjust to MTGO meta. So far so good though! Is Runamap a problem for you? I'm about 50/50 so far against them, might have to lower curve a little bit of they continue to take a lot of meta space.

I didn't have a problem, but I used 2 Essence Extraction in the side for them. The extra life really mattered as they deminished their burn spells, and it's a pretty good flashback target for Gearhulk.
To the Slaughter, Hour of Devastation , and Grasp of Darkness take care of Hazoret the Fervent. Grasp is also really good against Glorybringer, so I'd recommend holding onto that if all possible until you see one of those two.
I top 8'd my game day. Temur Energy ended up winning against Ramunap Red. I got beat by a WB Eldrazi deck LOL, then he got slapped by the red deck.

I also played one Scarab God. Boy that card did work! Got to take a GB delirium's Ishkanah, Grafwidow, which pretty much ended the game.

I use a variant of this, and it rocks. I topped FNM in Modern with it. Question is, what are your plans for Ixalan now that a lot of this is being rolled out in September?

"topped FNM in Modern with it" do you mean you play a variant of this deck for modern?

LOL, you topped modern with a standard deck, that's hilarious.
Usually we don't worry about rotation until it's actually here, looks like there will be a reprint of these lands (Dragonskull Summit), to replace the BFZ lands. And we can only hope for some goodies to replace the rotating cards.

Well, this just set me in the right direction to create a Thing in the Ice Flip meets Imminent Doom grixis deck.
Look for it.

Awesome deck bro. I've been wanting to grixis a while now and this decklist has really opened my eyes to what this particular combination could do. I had to order a few of the cards that you use. First attempt will be without the gearhulk at first as I need to put some money together to afford them lol but I'm excited to see how it runs with goblin dark-dweller and I think I'll try Neheb, the eternal as well just for a bit of mana ramp. His afflict may be useful as well.
Cheers man, and thanks again

RecklessN7 Thx! and welcome to the fam! :) I suggest to get those hulk really quickly, super-core to the deck man!
August 24, 2017 8:07 p.m.
Oh yeah. They are definitely next step. Probably just two and if I feel I need another I'll pick that up later.
And thanks lol glad to be a part of the elite!

I run 2 combustible gearhulk and one torrential. Combustible is super underrated.

Small change: just swapped the 4th Supreme Will for a Essence Extraction. I was drawing too many Wills for this meta, and we need the life gain VS Ramunap Red.
August 27, 2017 11:01 a.m.
As your chances of BB on turn 2 are not always good, I would suggest removing Grasp of Darkness for a 3rd Abrade and a third Unlicensed Disintegration - it means you might get to BB by turn 3 for Liliana or Essene Extraction pretty reliably. Plus I reckon those two in combination are better than Grasp anyway - hitting more targets and doing potentially much more damage.
