Thanks! Usually Bitter Ordeal allows the evil laugh when pulled off as a win condition. But I've had my share of times I've had to use Haakon + Nameless Inversion and get the job with creatures. If I get a few Damnations I'll likely throw them in the sideboard to deal with hexproof if needed.

Blood Artist could be a reasonable substitute for Bitter Ordeal, though I suppose Bitter Ordeal has the subtle advantage of avoiding Spell Snare.

Haakon, Stromgald Scourge can only be cast from the graveyard, which means you have to get it into the grave to cast it. Perhaps you could use Liliana of the Veil in order to help out with getting Haakon there?

Liliana could help but I don't seem to have too many problems getting Haakon in the graveyard. Blood Artist could be a fun alternate win-con may give it a try sometime.

I'm just thinking maybe it could help for helping with making the opponent discard, or possibly offer up creature control. I think Blood Artist could be used instead of Bitter Ordeal simply because it would be far easier to do it 20 time as opposed to doing it 40 some times, not to mention the amount of time it would save, and the possibility to KO all opponents in one turn.

Either one can finish off multiple opponents at once, I will give it a try though. Originally I put the deck together trying to keep things within Time Spiral/Lorwyn/Morningtide blocks.
Mindlash Sliver while it gets one use can be used like Liliana as it forces everyone to discard. Also, if left unchecked Oona's Prowler can become enough of a nuisance to make opponents think about discarding to it. Other than that, having 3 combo pieces at 3cc and Beseech the Queen along with them it's hard to find room for her. Thanks for the suggestions!

I think i like blood artist a bit more. You can cast it from your graveyard with hakkon out. You could dump all of the parts you need then recur them all. (that and if someone holds a counterspell you're toast but if you use the blood artist they cant do much to stop it.)

Butcher of Malakir could work around hexproof. It would work well with your combo.

This may just be my mindless musings, but I thought the point of the regenerate ability was that they didnt actually hit the graveyard? If this is true, wouldnt that make this deck kind of fall apart? I love the idea but that's the only thing that concerns me.

In the rulings it says you can't regenerate a sacrificed creature so how does the infinite combo work?

The changeling is a knight by type so he is simply recasting it using the 2 mana he gained by saccing it as it is a sliver as well and has that sacrifice ability. Then he casts the spell with grave storm and whoops goodbye library.

Yes, the Skeletal Changeling counts as both a Knight and a Sliver at all times. I can use it to sacrifice with Basal Sliver's ability, adding BB to my mana pool. Then I can cast the changeling from my graveyard with Haakon, Stromgald Scourge.

Blood Artist would work as long as he is in play since it states when he dies or ANOTHER so sacking Skeletal Changeling for the mana counts as it dying they would lose 1 and you gain 1. You would never sack the Blood Artist .

No but as opposed to Blood Artist I don't have to worry about removal or counterspells with Bitter Ordeal . The gravestorm copies will go on the stack regardless of whether or not the original spell was countered.

Nice deck. I got a zombie deck and gravepact deck as well. They have some similarities to yours.
To get Haakon into graveyard I'd choose Zombie Infestation or even better (probably best) Putrid Imp .

combo. Pay 4 mana to kill a titan or equivalent, now that is efficient. +1 from me man.
