Isn't Dragon Mage a bit risky as it can refill your opponent's hand?

Hey awsome deck i have been heavily playtesting my zirilan deck as well ( Dragon Rain), ive leaned a little more into the dragon storm theme, but some cards you might consider ive had great luck with Lathliss, Dragon Queen is great to pull at your oponents end step, then pull utvara swing for at least 11 and have 3 dragons on the field, and pair that with an early Dragon Tempest and you out right win sometimes. Gratuitous Violence is almost overpowered in this deck, even more insane with Dragon Tyrant , amazing results. Ive also enjoyed , Synod Sanctum , Safe Haven , Chaos Moon , and many others feel free to look at my deck for more, this one gets a +1 from me though

No Sol Ring ?

You know since you got those snow lands already you should scrap all those tapplands and fetch lands its kinda wierd to run em in mono color just for rimscale and a posible repeat on valakut, and run a Scrying Sheets and Extraplanar Lens would give your deck a little more consistancy since the reanimation theme can take while, and it plays well with the control and gives you another one sided mana doubler

Not the deck owner, but the fetchlands are for shuffling the deck when you have Scroll Rack or Sensei's Divining Top in play. I agree that they could get rid of Spinerock Knoll . If you're looking for other Zirilan decks you can check out mine, One More Red Nightmare.

I see the appeal its just a little rough to commit to slower play for two cards(for my playstyle that is, i understand everyones gameplay style and meta are different) in my meta slow decks get chewed up

I mean it is not any slower, you wouldn't hold off cracking them until you get one of those cards, it is just a synergy you'll run into every couple games and only costs a couple life.

Fair, i did not think of the synergy as i dont own those card lol. Also i originally wanted to thank the owner of this deck for bringing Mana Web to my attention, ive been looking for that little extra control in my zirilan deck and thats just what i wanted, thank you sir.

Didn’t even know Zirilan of the Claw, but your deck showed up in my list of similar decks on Purphy, the Sneakster God.

Have you considered Dragon's Hoard? It’s a little lower powerlevel but gets you to 5 on t4 and is a good source of card adv. later on.
