As a fan of Eldrazi ramping back in the Zendikar days, I feel that Colossus of Akros resembles the high-cost monstrosities that were the great Eldrazi!

The Pros - Extremely high ramping potential, able to keep an opponent low or even on zero lands for the majority of the game.

The Cons - Extremely vulnerable to early removal. The only way to really combat a turn 4 Supreme Verdict or turn 3 Anger of the Gods is to be able to ramp into some land destruction to keep them off of double white or double red respectively.
