The Thought Scour probably functions as an easy way to start the combo going, as well as the fact that it's a cantrip. Handy.

Was wondering if this was still the incarnation of the deck you're running? I'm also wondering if you've tried the 2 extremes of the spectrum as far as inevitability vs. speed. You have a lot of control elements in here, if you plan on controlling the board more for an opportunistic win after you've sufficiently stymied your opponent's game, I think that at least one, if not 2 of the muddle the mixtures could come out. They seem great on paper, but how many times have you been holding one or 2 in hand and had someone cast their non instant or sorcery wincon? If you adapt a more controlling shell, I would probably ditch 2, as with draw filtering, you are likely to come across one of the six cards you need naturally. The more I look at this list, the more I think the deck would CRANK by changing the color scheme and running Traverse the Ulvenwald as it would probably be very consistently able to fetch your Guildmage, and makes the thought scours more efficient in all phases of the game. Running it Sultai also would enable good early plays like Noble Hierarch, Birds of Paradise, etc. Abrupt Decay would also be available, thus making the Murderous Cuts more SB material, which could preserve your graveyard more to trigger delirium. A 1 mana tutor and better acceleration and a more versatile and efficient removal suite could be the answer you're looking for. On the other hand, running things like Simian spirit guide, manamorphose, pyretic ritual, if you were to splash red would make the muddle the mixtures more useful in pushing out a t2 (or maybe even t1) tutor for your combo pieces. In this incarnation, running most aspects of control would be less useful, I would perhaps even rely on only the Muddles and a playset of spell pierces in a brew like that.

I run duskcrank regularly and will tell you that getting this combo fast is what you want. Aether vial is a must. this build just seems to run the combo as an afterthought. Muddle the mixture and dimir infiltrator or even memory shred are all great tutors and have never been dead cards in hand. I reliably go off on turn 4 and not uncommonly on turn 3. Have you taken the deck to tournaments? If so how does it fare

Thanks you for the comment kiatsu. FNM is the extent of this decks tournament play. Although this particular build has only seen last Friday. I just added goyfs tasigur and thoughtseize. I took 2nd place only losing to tron, and it was mostly BC of land issues on my side. The beatsticks eat removal and allow me to comfortably play the combo. I really like aether vial, I hadn't considered that. But muddle was cut BC it wasn't necessary and is not very veritile. Is your list posted? I'd love to see it. What kind of tournaments have you played in with it? I'm planning on hitting some bigger events this summer

Yeah it is posted on my page, fnms are the only play it's gotten and I have had some really good nights going four o and then others where sideboard games just go not in favor. I really enjoy playing it because of its rogue deck feel. It's a joy to troll tier 1 decks
