You never really had any control to begin with.

This is a deck I've been working on for a while. I wanted a competitive Dimir control deck with a focus on Duskmantle Seer , because he's one of my favorite cards in the format. The idea is to get the Seer out as quickly as possible and start drawing all the cards you could ever want. Your opponent gets a draw too, but you get a peek at what's in their hand and they hopefully lose a decent portion of life in the process. A few games I've played I've won simply because the opponent wouldn't use any removal on him because of the extra card draw. After a turn or two the 4 flying damage starts to add up and I typically have responses to anything they try to play.

Everything else in the deck is there mostly for control. Dimir Charm is a fun interaction with Duskmantle Seer , as it lets you pick what they draw during your upkeep (and how much life they lose). Thassa, God of the Sea is in there for the upkeep scry trigger to keep me from losing too much life whenever I get low. Desecration Demon and Vortex Elemental are really good pieces of creature-based control. And finally, Warped Physique has become one of my favorite cards. The utility it provides in this deck is insane since it doubles not only as a form of removal, but can also come in during damage step to deal that last little bit of damage when they least expect it.

I'd love some feedback or suggestions, specifically on the sideboard as I'm not sure what to run in the sideboard. Biggest change I'm thinking about making right now is replacing the Spell Rupture s with Syncopate.

Updates Add

Changed it up a wee bit. Took it down to a more typical deck size. Removed Thassa's Rebuff cause it was adding nothing to the deck. Took out both Claim of Erebos, Fated Infatuation and Returned Phalanx cause they weren't particularly helpful either. Added another Dissolve and Spell Rupture, another Doom Blade and another Duskmantle Seer. I also swapped the Shadow Alley Denizens for Festering Newts because the Denizens weren't helping me all the much. A one drop capable of taking down 2 toughness creatures or two 1 toughness creatures is way more valuable to me.
