This is just a decklist I threw together in an hour to see what I could do with good ol Varolz, still working on it and any feedback is welcome.

phyrexian dreadnaught, Phyrexian Soulgorger, Waning Wurm, Death's Shadow, Force of Savagery, Eater of Days and Leveler are your best scavenge targets (you never want to be casting the last two, discard or tutor them to yard, the others you can play and just have them die to themselves), either onto Varolz for commander damage or glistner elf or whatever has glisenting oil for infect win. These are your only real win cons, its unlikely you will be able to win in just combat damage though it is not unheard of, that normally only happens when your opponents do quite a bit of work to each other.

The rest of the deck is larger separated into a tiny amount of mana ramp, evasion artifacts and control mainly through removal and creature etbs, which you improve through reanimator cards (which also buy back a glistner elf). However you need to be careful, don't go all in on a creature buff until you know its protected or they can't hurt it currently, this deck takes a bit of patients if your playing it against control decks of any kind, however using infect or commander damage it can race many MANY aggro decks and can compete with quite a few ultron decks.
