Glacial Chasm? Play end of your turn and bounce end of theirs?
March 3, 2016 6:33 p.m.
@BadzookeeperI hadn't actually considered that. Will put on acquire board as a future upgrade.

Hey. You gave me some thoughts on my Mina and Denn Elfball list yesterday so I decided to tinker around more. The list feels decent so far but I'll probably play a land centric version because the combo win needs too many pieces to be reliable, so it just ends up being a sub par elf deck.
For your deck though, maybe take Destructive Revelry out for Ancient Grudge? Less color intensive, still instant speed, and has flashback if it's milled.
I like some of the changes you just made. If budget isn't too much of a concern maybe run Kozilek, Butcher of Truth instead of Gaea's Blessing as an anti mill tech? It doubles as a lategame threat and a draw 4 as well. When I used to run my Omnath hyper ramp deck it was one of my best things to ramp into.

Actually, I just reread Ancient Grudge and it doesn't hit enchantments. Woops.

This deck is disgustingly beautiful. +1 from me! Have you considered Undergrowth Champion?

@The_Grape
I had previously skipped over the Champion, but looking at it again it could easily find a place in the Land Abusers as another way to go tall.
Time to think about what to cut...

@The_Grape
1v1 me bruh
xD
I've decided against the champion. Doesn't do anything the Avenger can't do in my particular meta as non combat damage is sparse compared to straight up destroy effects.

Could be an interesting alternative to Titania and Zuran Orb... however I feel like I'd need to make room for more graveyard land recursion to really make him as viable a threat as possible. He may be better off as a commander of his own deck as opposed to shoe-horned into a deck with a different combo goal.
I think at the moment my threat density is in a good spot. I could certainly test Borby, but right now I think the goal should be on finding ways to make it harder for opponents to mess with the deck so I can combo off easier. Remember my meta is a pressure cooker 1v1 an Arcum with the multiplayer banlist (so arcum still has access to his fast mana) as I'm dead set on making Mina competitive viable (approaching a 1:1 win:loss at the moment). I'm thinking about taking the resource manipulation aspect of the deck to the next level. Splendid Reclamation (already in the deck) off the heels of a cycled Decree of Annihilation (or similar, not in maybeboard but just a thought), Storm Cauldron, etc.

Hi there, this is a pretty unique take with the infinite landfall combo. I play angry omnath and has included the following combo:
- Titania, Protector of Argoth + Nim Deathmantle + Ashnod's Altar + Evolving Wilds = infinite landfalls and grabs all fetchable lands in the library and puts them into play (optional)
It's pretty easy to assemble too and you do have most of the combo pieces already. Would appreciate it if you would take a look at my landfall deck and upvotes would be appreciated! +1

Sweet deck! I made a similar one and have been curious how to do the infinite combo. Did you consider Budoka Gardener? When at under 10 Lands you can use him as second Sakura-Tribe Scout for the combo!
September 29, 2016 7:26 a.m.
Nerzhul, Thanks!
There are other ways to do an infinite landfall combo, one in particular involves Titania. However, I chose this combo because it isn't restricted to your choice of fetch land like the Titania combo, and it doesnt have to go infinite. Before all the pieces are assembled, I can still use the Scout as a way to get more Bridge plays.
I did consider Budoka Gardener, however once 10 lands are hit (which happens very fast in this deck), he can no longer work for the combo. He would then transition into being a threat, with being able to pump out big dudes, but I have a feeling that would actually stall my deck more than help it (wind up one bridge activation short of victory or some such). I'm thinking of going more Skyshroud Ranger for redundancy... restricted to sorcery speed which sucks, but doesnt stop the combo before I'm ready.

I'm curious about your inclusion of Inventors' Fair and Gaea's Blessing, how has those cards worked for you?
December 14, 2016 10:13 a.m.
Also, have you considered the new card Conqueror's Flail and Cavern of Souls? I'm not sure how prevelant countermagic and disruption is in your meta but those cards are a life saver.

Enral Gaea's Blessing works out okay for the most part, though honestly I'm not in a mill heavy meta. It usually winds up being a cantrip that can help me recover things if needed. If I was against heavier mill strategies I'd probably go with something else.
Inventors' Fair has been excellent. It's no Arcum Dagsson by any stretch, but having a repeatable artifact tutor helps smooth things out significantly. The line of play is find Crucible, then start finding the artifact combo pieces in order of relevance. Amulet if I'm Bridging things, Mantle if the scout is play, etc, or just go straight for a combo piece if I can win on the spot with it. The main problem is turning it on to begin with, but the inclusion of the artifact lands does help on that front reasonably well considering I run way more of the non-basic tutors. I wouldn't say its won games on its own, but its contributed enough that I'm satisfied whenever I top-deck it. It never feels like a dead draw to me.
I'm not sure how effective the Cavern will be in the deck, most of the stuff winds up getting Bridged. Bridging does open things up to disruption though, so I'll probably look for a place to put in the Flail instead because I agree; disruption protection is a little on the weak side in the deck.

Mennenth: That makes sense. I might have to test Inventors' Fair out for consistency's sake. By the way, I'm testing Grafted Exoskeleton as my secret tech..it combos with Tunneling Geopede to literally kill the entire table with infect if you can pull off 10 land fall triggers.

Enral: Woah, Grafted Exoskeleton + Tunneling Geopede would be hilarious, I don't think I've seen a red flavored Infect plan before. Pretty nifty.
December 23, 2016 10:27 a.m.
Problem is, without going infinite 10 landfall triggers is actually a tall order. By the time I get there I'm probably going infinite or about to go infinite anyway, thanks to bridging things in.

Yo Menneth. How you been? If you remember, we talked a bit when I tried doing Mina and Denn a while ago, and had some elfball / cloudstone variants.
Here's a paradox engine list I've been toying with and goldfishing a lot lately. It's a bit durdley sometimes but has those extra lines. I took out Summer Bloom though because it was largely... underwhelming. Dedicated combo pieces tend to be meh for me.
I also didnt add in the hate you run because I'm aiming for a slightly less cutthroat meta, and if I remember you had Arcum around so Null Rod made sense.
List is here: Mina and Denn EDH - Landfall Combo
Jester's Cap can definitely be rough though.

IustitiaRex Hello my friend!
Checking out your list now.
I had been considering trying to ride the Paradox train too, I just don't want to be same-sy with the rest of the table. Thats why I run the non traditional land play/untap "dorks" and unconventional combo's in the first place.
Originally summer bloom wasnt dedicated combo (and still "isnt"). I happy accidented onto the notion of using ewit to recur it and curio to replay ewit. The bloom does do some serious work on its own, but I can agree that it may not be the best. Its a glass cannon, explosive style play.

Hi! This list is amazing tbh. I'm currently running an Angry Omnath, I've noticed that you only have few creatures. I'm curious to know, how do you fare with counterspells and such?
May 22, 2017 12:24 p.m.
Hey pqlyr, thanks!
Depends on the meta. Unfortunately I play a lot of 1v1 with my brother since the two lgs' in my area don't run a lot of commander (one is simply an "open table event" so commander isnt guaranteed, the other has commander on tuesdays of all days). So for me, between playing around them and the shusher counterspells arent so bad. I have wanted to find space to include Conqueror's Flail to increase the anti-counterspell tech though, for the times we do make a commander night at the lgs and there is more than 1 control deck.
Board wipes are really this decks weakness.
