Sweet description man!

Looks like you really zeroed in on the decks strengths and cut out the extra weight. Looks great.

I sure did, I feel consistency wins games more often then a lot of different cards for versatility. At least, that's my experience with the people I play against.

Gameover209X, would you suggest i run Jace, the Mind Sculptor over the Sorin? Would the creature bouncing and brainstorming be more worth it? The consistency of land drops and enchantments plus the added bonus of control seems very attractive to me but Idk. Thoughts?

Oh wow, this is all sorts of awesome! This deck could single-handedly kill Captain Planet from the sheer magnitude of pollution it's spewing forth. Awesome concept and excellent delivery. +1 :D

Read your comment, and I have some advice!:

1.) Brainstorm , Preordain , Gitaxian Probe ,& Ponder seem like good cards.

2.) Disrupt , Daze , and Turnabout seem just plain mean. ):D

3.) You need artifact removal so that you can prevent things like Powder Keg /Ratchet Bomb .

4.) Haunted Plate Mail and Strionic Resonator could work.

5.) Force of Will always pisses me off. I mean it.

Wait, forget about the Powder Keg part of the statement, just Ratchet Bomb .

Lol this is great +1. And budget too! hah

I really like the deck, and great job with the theme! Almost reminds me of the music video for Rise Against's Ready to Fall. It would work as a budget deck too, since pretty much all of the money comes from the lands. +1 from me!

You know, I'm not really adept at using planeswalkers. I mostly build my decks on flavor and that's mostly why I chose to throw Sorin Markov in my build. Taking over someone's turn and tapping all their lands is pretty sadistic haha. He has also helped me stall out longer with the life gain while killing other walkers which is this deck's main weakness. If a powerhouse walker hits the field and you cant win before they ultimate, then buh bye haha.

umbron - Thanks, man! Glad you like the deck and its them! haha.

Scorprix - Great suggestions! Nice to see you comment finally! hahah. I have literally considered everyone of those cards (besides Ratchet Bomb which Iam considering the most) when searching but I couldn't justify a spot for them. Suggestions on what to have any of your suggestions replace?

Vito1014 - Always is! ;)

ducttapedeckbox - Thank you! And I like that song, thanks for showing me. And yes it would work as a budget, check out Gameover209X's deck. It's only like 58 bucks. My biggest component thought is expensive, being the Rishadan Port . Hefty price!

Gameover209X - hmm, I see your point. Planeswalkers would be an issue. It'll remain for now. If any suggests any other good ideas in your deck please pass the word on! (:

Also maybe 2 Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth to trigger with Mana Web .

Copy Enchantment

Nether Void

Are both cards I'd consider w/o a budget.

And an additional Pendrell Mists The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale

What a fun deck! I know so little about pre-Modern cards that it is really fun to see how powerful some of the older spells were :) Great deck! +1 of course.

Scorprix - TOTALLY forgot that Mana Web is only lands producing same color. Added 1 Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth !

Gameover209X

  • I have definitely been considering Copy Enchantment but it doesn't seem feasible at this point. Everything else seems like "enough" for what it is doing and to add it would only take away from other things too much. If it cost the same as Copy Artifact then hell yes I would add it! haha.

  • Nether Void seems a bit to harmful to run. That would require a lot of play testing against decks to see if it is feasible. If you find time, can you get in some play testing?

  • TOTALLY forgot The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale existed! As a Master of Proxying, I feel obligated to add this card. SO BRUTAL I LOVE IT! Thanks!!

CurdBrosBrewingCo - Wow, I've never seen you NOT have an awesome suggestion for a deck you've commented on. There's a first for everything! I've seen it all, folks! ;) haha. And yeah, I don't know much about pre-modern cards but I learn and find a lot of amazing older cards with THE BEST MAGIC CARD SEARCH ENGINE EVER. If you have never used it before, this will become a bookmark on your browser, I guarantee it.

April 6, 2014 3:11 a.m.

haha! It's hard when I'm not used to the cards to come up with anything insightful :)

Having said this, now that I've thought about the deck and a few of the interactions; I think Gigadrowse could be an option (as it allows you to tap the lands you've enchanted to deal damage and/or tap down any permanent that you don't want to deal with or that you don't want blocking your creatures). Just seems extremely versatile in this deck in particular.

April 6, 2014 3:32 a.m.

Btw...that search engine is awesome! I've always used Gatherer; but this seems like it might be able to delve a little deeper...I'll try to think of a few other ideas; but sometimes you just don't mess with perfection!

Gigadrowse is an awesome deck. I've been eyeballing that one as well as Mind Games because buyback lasts forever and the most important thing is tapping that one land every turn. However, I currently have 10 cards to FORCE the tap with an additional 15 cards that encourage the tap, so it may not be necessary. hmmmm. i've been trying to figure out other good ways to speed this deck even faster but am drawing blanks.

I'm glad you like the search engine! Make sure to scroll to bottom and add the filter "Not:funny", then make it a bookmark. That way it defaults to leaving out the illegal in every format cards (aka silver and gold border types). I will literal go on there and type in two different components of a possible card and see what I get, then confine it a bit more and keep researching for deck concepts. Or I go to wiki creature types and type in one and search the mythics and rates for potential tribal decks for fun. haha, so many possibilities on there! enjoy.

Dude,

Just playtested this. Rishadan Port is so strong.. Makes Icy Manipulator irrelevant imo.

I'd take 1 out and add more, Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth to help fix your mana and boost that Mana Web .

Dreno33 says... #18

I see your point. I haven't found it too useful anymore see the land version addition. I'll try that. Thanks man!

April 6, 2014 8:52 p.m.

Gameover209X says... #19

Maybe you can even sac the last Icy Manipulator to open up room for that jace or a second sorin.

This deck is bonkers haha.

Great Idea! That Jace would help me draw into my essentials cards quicker!

I keep thinking about adding Crystal Shard , but I am not sure . . . Gameover209X what would you take out for it? or would you even add it?

April 7, 2014 8:20 p.m.

I've played this deck a few times, and it's so much fun! People are definitely surprised by it, which makes playing games so much more interesting. So far I've played against some casual mono-green decks and some weird deck that used Urza's Armor , Pestilence , and a bunch of the black Thrull mana dorks. I won most of these games, somehow tied another. The only game I've lost with it was against a Countryside Crusher deck... I got out-janked hah.

If you were to make this a budget deck, how would you account for the advantage Rishadan Port provides?

April 8, 2014 2:39 p.m.

Gameover209X says... #23

Crystal Shard seems so conditional. Almost sideboard material. Are you having trouble with creatures? TO be quite honest, I dont think it provides more utility than any other card you have in there. You could consider dropping an island or 2?

ducttapedeckbox you can take a look at my version of thisVeneno's House of Pain which I play with a tight budget in mind.

I'd replace the port with Icy Manipulator

ducttapedeckbox I'm glad you like it! I've even won a few games (about 3 out 9) against Delver Legacy decks! I was very surprised lol.

Anyways, take a look at Gameover209X's Veneno's House of Pain, the original concept (at least as far as I know). Icy Manipulator is a great substitute. Also, you can use more "tap all" sorceries and such that work great, too. Basically, just make everything SUPER expensive so they are forced to pay life or never play.

I've even considered splashing white because there are so many options in there as well. You could add white to even have more Propaganda s with Ghostly Prison . You can even hurt the entire field (making it drag on longer which is a good thing) and run 4 Thorn of Amethyst and maybe 2 Thalia, Guardian of Thraben )

Defense Grid is an amazing SIDEBOARD card that should be run as a 4 of against counter spells. But I am actually going to be main boarding, somehow, at least 3 because legacy is the same deck every time with Daze and Spell Pierce and other cheap counter crap. so that will help. however, still can't prevent the Force of Will . unless Defense Grid makes it more expensive when alternative cost is paid? hmmm.

Again, though, I am glad you like it and hope you keep having awesome success!
