Because, when lands drop some 5/5s show up to the party. Then, when those boys get to the 'yard' you can unload a bolt into your opponents' faces.

We're aiming to squeeze every bit of value out of the lands, then tossing to the graveyard to recycle them for more value. In a sense, this is a pretty stereotypical Omnath RG landfall deck. Mostly ramping, token buffing, and swarming. It also runs an Elemental sub-theme.

I run a fairly large number of basics for all my mass fetch effects, like Scapeshift. The amount of ramp in this deck kind of eases the need for lots of duals.

This deck runs some more expensive cards, but I still think it's not super competitively tuned. Mostly because the commander is really mana intensive, it runs minimal removal/ interaction, and the curve is set sort of high overall.
