My take on a blink deck featuring Derevi, Empyrial Tactician and aiming to be a blink deck that takes advantage of Deveri's ETB. There is extensive control, especially Eternal Witness/ Counterspell combos or Deadeye Navegator for blinking. Coupled with Crystal Shard and Tooth and Nail, this deck can send out creatures left and right.

Simple combos early in the game, such as Derevi, Empyrial Tactician with Birthing Pod let me bring out Oracle of Mul Daya or Solemn Simulacrum early in the game.

Mimic Vat with anything under it adds ramp or continual ETB, especially with Seedborn Muse. Its always fun to snag opponents stuff too.

Reveillark is an excellent late-mid game card with plenty of targets, such as Karmic Guide to bring another creature back, Eternal Witness to bring back anything (creating a powerful recursion engine), any of the numerous wizards in the deck, Phyrexian Metamorph, etc. Late game combos create deadly lockouts with Voidmage Prodigy + Derevi, Empyrial Tactician + Seedborn Muse or Prophet of Kruphix.

Methods of getting rid of Derevi: High Market, Voidmage Prodigy, Birthing Pod. and Barrin, Master Wizard

Typical win conditions are:

  1. Deadeye Navigator combos with Eternal Witness, Mystic Snake , etc. Mirrari's Wake , Seedborn Muse, and Prophet of Kruphix provide more than enough mana to lock out opponents.

  2. Rite of Replication combined with either Sun Titan, Deadeye Navigator, Body Double, etc to overwhelm opponents to take control of the game.

  3. Umezawa's Jitte and Derevi quickly build charge counters through quick attack/untap, block, making for slow but deadly commander damage wins.

  4. Mirror Entity + Mirrari's Wake and a few creatures also gives you a quick and dirty way to land lethal damage.

Occasional win condition:

Eternal Witness + Roon of the Hidden Realm/ Conjurer's Closet + Render Silent . Its mean, it worked, and my opponent was not happy.

Although there are a few potential infinite combos, my playgroup does not usually use them. Its all about plenty of sac-outlets to kill the pesky bird and slap her back in at instant speed. The weakness of this deck is to find a solid, non-infinite way to win.

Help me make this better!
