The moment I saw The Locust God spoiled, I knew I was making this deck. It is just absurd.

Alright, down to business. I’m not going to go over everything in the deck because it is pretty simple: ramp into Locust God, draw cards, make tokens, profit. Instead, I will give a brief overview of my favorite cards in the deck!

Gravitational Shift : I’ve been wanting to put this into a deck for a long time and it really shines here. Buffing all of my locusts while simultaneously protecting me from ground attacks makes this card great.

Subterranean Tremors : A modal/scalable board wipe that happens to leave my commander and army of bugs intact? Sign me up!

Shared Discovery : A recent addition but one that has performed better than expected. Often the best card to hit off of a wheel effect.

Cephalid Coliseum : Utility lands that aid your game plan are always nice and this one is sublime here.

Overall, my basic rule on card draw was I wanted my mana investment to be at most equal with number of cards drawn.

Since the deck is more of a combo deck than anything, interaction is at a minimum and designed to be flexible, cheap, and/or not affect my game plan too much.
