Stops our combo? It makes it better. Underworld Cerberus is the Dread Return target. I guess you didn't get the combo. I'll bruak it down, so you see it. Mill your deck, Dread Return Underworld Cerberus, sac Underworld Cerberus for Cabal Therapy, Underworld Cerberus's trigger returns ALL creature cards from grave to hand, especially, Laboratory Maniac, Street Wraiths, Elvish Spirit Guides, Simian Spirit Guides and Wild Cantor. Now we hardcast Laboratory Maniac and activate Street Wraith to win the game.

When we use Laboratory Maniac + Underworld Cerberus instead of Angel of Glory's Rise + Azami, Lady of Scrolls + Laboratory Maniac we spare one precious slot from deck.

Ah! Thanks Colgate, I see it now. I will talk to Spencerbot15 tomorrow and we will see what can be done to upgrade the deck. Thanks for your input!

You think I am inactive, Jaceblue12? Think Twice. Colgate, you have helped me see the light, Underworld Cerberus is better. That makes tons of sense. I will update the decklist and add another Street Wraith.

You are relatively inactive, Spencerbot15. While I know you come on to tappedout every day, you haven't deckcycled this deck in months nor added 'first turn win' into the title so we can get more popularity.

I would swap one Cabal Therapy for one Gitaxian Probe in case we have a combo piece in hand

I should start deck cycling more frequently. I will update the primer and make the changes you suggested.

Wowowowow!

                   Mindfucked

That is all, along with a +1, because:
This is the cheapest COMPETITIVE Legacy deck I've seen in a long time!
I'm tempted to try it, so I will.
And thank you again!

Update: I built a more "Budget" version, I just cut out the Cabal Therapy and have no sideboard...
I got it off once!
I lost, but I did...I'm still learning what hands to take, but I will say that a second Laboratory Maniac Is a good Idea...

Mr.Button, how do we win without Cabal Therapy?

Spencerbot15 - after doing a little bit of research, I found that our older version without the cerberus is more consistent. The Cerberus needs us to have a Gitaxian Probe or Street Wraith in hand after comboing off. This means that we cannot use it to dig for the rest of our combo and it turns into a dead card until we pull off the combo.

Cerberus still returns ALL CREATURE CARDS to hand. Street Wraith IS CREATURE CARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (sorry about raising my voice, no hostility intended)

how does Underworld Cerberus have the same effect as Angel of Glory's Rise? doesn't it need to be on the field in order to die?

Yes, Wurmlover. However, you can sacrifice it to the flashback cost of Cabal Therapy; but I still support the old Angel of Glory's Rise build.

Jaceblue12, is there any way to spin this deck so that it doesn't die to an extraction?

Jaceblue12 says... #15

To the extent of my knowledge, no; the deck dies to pretty much any hate card and is also very vulnerable to counterspells.

Look, this is an awesome gimmick deck, and hella impressive when it goes off, but I would by no means consider this a competitive deck; there's far too many answers for it out there in pretty much every color. Leyline of the Void, Force of Will, and the list gets exponentially higher if and more likely when you have to take extra turns to get those critical pieces for the combo.

I'm by no means saying this is a shit deck or anything (I personally love it), but this is not competitive.
