Vampiric Strength! (Possibly Part 1) —Dec. 15, 2020

Hey everyone! Its been a while, but the release of Commander Legends has given me an opportunity to spice some things up in this deck, and I have been impressed so far with the results. However, i will throw the disclaimer that this is really a part 1 of 2: There's a few more cards I would like to test play, and ultimately I feel like these changes are going to stick.

But, be advised that this one is very much in the works.. I just dont see myself being able to get a lot more Commander games in before 2021 (and this deck probs wont get updated before 2021) so without further ado....

Boros Garrison , Rakdos Carnarium, Orzhov Basilica ---------------------------------------------> Spectator Seating , Luxury Suite, Vault of Champions:

The Bounce lands are gone... ALL HAIL BATTLEBOND LANDS!!! Yea, these lands are super good, and Im happy I pulled all of them from Commander Legends cause again, they are oh so good. its actually helped the ramp curve of this deck a lot, so much so that this next cut may completely surprise you...

Legion's Landing  Flip -------------------> Reconnaissance:

Yea, this one was wild: Recon allows me to perform such amazing Combat maneuvers and really allow my Army of Vampires to just go off. Unfortunately, while I did like Admanto (the flip side) a lot, The fort only makes tokens when I'm out of a hand or in the absolute late game. Beyond that, its just white mana. Which, good, but not really great in the Mid-Game. However, you throw in a Stormkirk Captain or the next card, and suddenly reconnaissance makes combat completely one-sided, and it is HILARIOUS.

Fervor ----------------------> Stensia Masquerade:

Ah, the classic enchantment returns. I do love haste in the deck, but sadly the power that it provides is just not as good as youd think. Like, yea, Its good when my opponents are wide open, but I almost always am needed a defense... and then giving Haste is pointless. With Stensia, it allows the deck just a little bit more oomph, and is a backup Stormkirk Captain AND a second Rakish Heir. Its been a decent include, for sure.

Pillar of Origins ----------------------> Viscera Seer:

With the inclusion of The Battlebond lands, I noted that the deck is a little land/ramp heavy. And I thought, rather then take out a land, I should take out one of my Rocks and replace it with a Scry engine. I was a little against it, but.. I caved. Scrying is super good in this deck, and between the death triggers, top deck manipulation.. it just has been a solid card all around. Worth it, 100%.

Read the Bones -------------------> Vampiric Tutor:

I PULLED IT XD. It had to go in this deck. I have a personal philosophy of not throwing too many tutors in a deck to make sure its "High Power" and not "CEDH" but like... I had to put it in here, flavor reasons and all. Its such a good card, being able to grab something at the end of a persons turn, or even during combat to assist with Vampire Nocturnus is just amazing. It stays. Read the Bones is good, but for the raw power I get, its just worth the inclusion.

Malakir Bloodwitch ---------------------> Falkenrath Aristocrat:

This one is more form over function. While the Bloodwitch is good when ive got a lot of Vamps on board (which, for this deck, is fairly frequent) she is also only good for that Pro-White. With the Aristocrat, she is a Hasty, 1 mana cheaper flyer that can sac creatures to make itself indestructible. And while this last bit isnt as important, If I were to steal a human creature I could sac it and further power up the Aristocrat. She's just an all around Aggressive Workhorse, and I am really impressed so far,.

Again, this is more of a Part 1, as I am sure more changes are to come! Thanks All!
