EDH Annihilator Deck - Any advice or suggestions would be of great help. Thanks.


The main goal is to annihilate your opponents board then attack through with Kozilek, Butcher of Truth or other Eldrazi. There are several ways to get this done:

1. Attack with an Eldrazi that has annihilator.
2. Attack with an Eldrazi that has annihilator then copy the ability with Strionic Resonator (with Rings of Brighthearth things get a little crazy).
3. All Is Dust, Ugin, the Spirit Dragon, and Karn Liberated are great and everything I have is colorless so no harm to me (Also if you have It That Betrays on the battlefield the game is pretty much yours at this point.)

Here are the combos that are in the deck:

• Strionic Resonator with any Annihilator trigger for mass removal
• Rings of Brighthearth with Basalt Monolith for infinite mana
• Wasteland, Tectonic Edge, Strip Mine, Ghost Quarter with Crucible of Worlds for mass land destruction
• All Is Dust with It That Betrays to steal all colored permanents

The only problem I've had so far is when people see me playing with Kozilek, Butcher of Truth as my commander I already have a target on my back before the game starts.

Cards suggested over time:

• Dark Depths - Fun but not necessary
• Cloud Key - Not enough value
• Semblance Anvil - Not enough value
• Mishra's Helix - Not necessary
• Soul of New Phyrexia - Already running Darksteel Forge and not enough value to add in
• Steel Overseer - Only running 11 artifact creatures, it can easily die and needs a lot of work to pay-off
• Steel Hellkite - Not enough value
• Relic of Progenitus - Not enough value
• Emrakul, the Aeons Torn is banned in EDH.
• Urza's Power Plant, Urza's Tower, and Urza's Mine not enough value over the other lands in the deck and are only effective if all 3 are in play, which is not common.
• Planar Portal is great but I'm playing Planar Bridge instead. I don't want to run both and have the Planar Portal take up another spot in the deck.
