This is an EDH-style deck with Kaervek the Merciless at the helm. It's designed specifically for multi-player EDH, because you'll probably need the distraction of other opponents to keep from getting killed before this ridiculous deck goes off.

In essence, this deck takes advantage of the fact that you have a card outside of the game that you can play on any main phase. Thus, even if you destroy your hand, all your mana sources, and everything else you have, you can still cast this guy (assuming you tapped all the mana before you destroyed it).

In this case, that means having 13 or so mana - with cards like Black Market, Mana Flare, and Spoils of Evil to help you get there. When you've achieved this somewhat daunting feat, you cast a ridiculous board clearer like Apocalypse, Decree of Annihilation, or Jokulhaups - and then you bring out Kaervek with the leftover mana, leaving your opponents with nothing on the board and staring down the barrel of a creature who smacks them every time they cast anything. They'll probably all forfeit at this point.

One note: try to make sure the counterspelling player is tapped out for your destruction of the world, because nobody's going to give you a second chance to push the big red button. ;)
