Conjurer's Closet? To get a trigger every turn. But you may not have enough etb effects on other creatures to warrant it. Really neat deck tho.

Dryad Arbor, Tree of Tales, Vault of Whispers, and Darksteel Citadel also give you two card types for one, and lands are usually pretty easy to pitch.

Thanks for the suggestions! Hadn't seen the tree and the vault yet, I'll try to get those.

I really wish this deck had the potential of becoming competitive. I feel that Spider Tribal's High CMC creature cost versus other tribal decks (Such as elf) and the sheer lack of Spiders with abilities that help ramp to alleviate that problem forces this deck to run at a crawling pace. I played my friends' version of this deck two nights ago and most of my turns end game were: "Play a spider... pass."
To be fair I understand that this general is Tier IV but I cannot help but feel disappointed in Spider Tribal as a whole. Ranting aside my friend did ask for help improving this deck. Bou is this build the most "competitive" version of Spider Tribal you have found during your methodical tweaking? Budget isn't a problem for this guy so any advice to help his deck compete against other Tier IV and Tier III generals would be much appreciated.
+1 Upvote from one Arachnophile to another!

I understand what you mean :( I've tried lowering the CMC but it's still slow compared to other decks. Now as for making this more competitive, I built this around Ishkanah, and strictly spiders, If you're not keeping it focused on Ishy or strictly, there should be other options to make it faster. My own issue with this deck though, is that I'm lacking some draw. Apart from that, I do okay against my friends, who also play Tier III and Tier IV commanders.
It doesn't get much more competitive than that as far as I know, but there are some things that could help. Descendants' Path and Slate of Ancestry are some I'm looking into for example. Another would be the infinite combos of Nim Deathmantle + Ashnod's Altar, and Cryptic Gateway + Cloudstone Curio - if you guys play with infinites.
If budget isn't a problem.. maybe Gaea's Cradle? Cavern of Souls? Sylvan Library is also a good one. and if you have the sylvan library, might as well run Abundance as that combos as well. Cover of Darkness could also be nice. Of course playing tutors like Demonic Tutor, Vampiric Tutor, Worldly Tutor will also speed up the game.
You could play more wipes and reanimate effects, but that will increase the CMC. Decree of Pain, and Patriarch's Bidding for example.
I hope this helps somewhat.

Fruit of the First Tree, Morbid Curiosity? You don't really have a lot of room to pull out things. The latter will give benefit for having a high CMC for your creatures. It won't be consistent draw. But it should get you what you need.

Referring to you thoughts on Fecundity, perhaps Greater Good? It could help with delirium. I know that a lot of spiders are low powered, but you do have some anthem effects in here and some of the bigger spiders. It is a 4 drop though.

I had considered Greater Good, but the "discard 3 cards" is a real setback, and I don't really need it for the delirium as that comes along nicely. My anthems tend to get removed fairly quickly as they give me a serious advantage, so I decided to run Fecundity because it lets me draw without having to discard, I also don't have to rely on anthems to boost my (e.g) 1/2 spiders to power 4+ and I still benefit if something dies, it's cheaper CMC, and most importantly, less likely to be removed as it benefits all players.

I'm sure it's a matter of price range, but I couldn't see Doubling Season mentioned :)I love tribals, especially when they are fun and viable, and this is the best Spider one I've seen so +1 for sure :D
I sat down trying to make a Ooze tribal but it didn't go too well, ended up with a theme at least though.Would really appreciate some suggestions on it Icky Genesis
Keep up the awesomesauce :)

Haha yeah, the price of Doubling Season is definitely an issue. While Primal Vigor does essentially the same (albeit for every player), the extra counters could be useful for Black Market and Door of Destinies. I would probably replace my (e.g) Conjurer's Closet, should I happen to get my hands on a doubling season. I can only imagine the interactions when all spider-doublers are in play.. * sigh *
I have 0 experience with oozes! but it does seem interesting.. and sticky. I'll take a look :D

I recommend replacing Juvenile Gloomwidow with Deadly Recluse because I hear deathtouch is good or something.
January 4, 2017 11:29 a.m.
Yeah, Deathtouch is kinda good.. but I don't like the Deadly Recluse that much (as I mentioned in an earlier comment from August). And the Juvenile Gloomwidow was given to me by a friend (who found it in his pile and remembered I studied Japanese) so normally, your suggestion would be valid, but I guess it's a personal choice. :)

I love Ishkanah and might do a deck with them sometime too as I do own a foil one that I opened from a Elditch moon pack. Anyways what do you think of Lifecrafter's Bestiary possibly in this deck?
January 30, 2017 2:58 p.m.
If Lifecrafter's Bestiary would've worked with Enter the Battlefield, absolutely auto-include - as I mostly make tokens. But it works on Cast, which makes it pretty much useless in this deck.

Spike Weaver would be a good add and adds some protection?
March 2, 2017 1:07 a.m.
I did think about it, but I chose not to include it because my spiders generally don't need protection during combat, as they have relatively big butts. (They do get wiped often though). And more importantly for tribal... it's not a spider.

Thanks :)
Regarding your question, as Valoth already noted, you get to pick which legendary stays. So on attack, Myriad will trigger, Ish tokens enter the battlefield and trigger for spider tokens, then the legend rule kicks in and you'll have to remove the Ishkanah clones. Sadly, the Legend rule checks state-based and doesn't work with the stack, so you can't activate Ish's ability to include all the extra Ishkanahs, but meh, you get a ton of spiders anyway.
And, most importantly, Ishy survives :3
