I actually just took Door of Destinies out a few days ago! wrote about it in the update. I did manage to play it quite a bit but every time I managed to make it big enough it would get removed, and it's actually slower than you'd think.

Deserted Temple with rings and coffers that tap for 6 or more mana is infinite mana.

You have all these good lands but no overgrown tomb?

Aah, I have a tomb in my other decks, just hadn't really needed it here. But yeah you're right and it should replace one of the slower lands.

i love this deck i thinks its a good brew. and me being a spider and elf player its pretty nice against someone with arachnophobia ;)

Nice list and love the writeup too! I'll definitely borrow a few ideas to my in-progress Ishka-chan deck. Have you considered Dryad Arbor? That's a creature and a land for delirium in one.

Any thought of adding Benefaction of Rhonas to the deck? It seems like it does everything we want.

Dryad Arbor is a good suggestion with it being land and creature type, but I didn't put it in mainly because it's not a spider. Should I ever include non-spider creatures then this will go in definitely yeah.
Benefaction of Rhonas is a nice new card as well, but have to be careful with what you throw in the graveyard as I don't have a lot of recursion. As it is now, getting Delirium is working easy enough, including this would mean you need some more recursion as well.

Have you considered any of these Adaptive Automaton, Metallic Mimic, Obelisk of Urd, Chameleon Colossus and Cover of Darkness.

Vanquisher's Banner rather than Coat of Arms I think, Just provides more security

Have you thought about damnation or other boardwipes, just for emergencies and if you feel like you don't need them you can discard them to enable delirium?

also, this may sound basic, but mind rot to enable your own delirium or just for hand attack if its already active

This deck gives me the willies! But cool idea! I didn't see anyone else mentioning this but Spidersilk Armor would be a flavorful addition to this deck and give you some extra flying defense.

I haven't been replying to most of the recent comments as I've been working on a new version of this deck, so this is going to be an all in one.
@Grind: Yeah! Llanowar Wastes is definitely a better land, the -1 life is negligible when it comes to using colored mana in the same turn.
@CaptSillva: I tried the obelisk, it seems very nice on paper but in actual games it turned out way too slow to be useful. I didn't include shapeshifters or automatons because I wanted to keep it strictly spiders. While they are technically all types and thus spiders.. they're not really genuine spiders. As for Cover of Darkness, I have this weird thing where I don't like the older looking cards and tend to keep things neat and uniform, if they would give this a reprint, this would go right in!
@Razia_of_Boros: I think the banner and the coat of arms are useful in two different settings. They both give +1/+1 but the big difference is that the banners give draw on cast (so not on ETB meaning Ish's tokens don't give cards), while the Coat of Arms gives more +1/+1s depending on how many creatures are in the field. Do you want 1x (+1/+1) or 20x on all your creatures?
@Drex25000: Board wipes and removal have become more necessary in my glaygroup and I have considered putting more in. The problem is now finding good ones.. I have Damnation and Decree of Pain for the draw, but I feel like I could use one more. As for Mind Rot, I did consider these effects, but as commander is a multiplayer game we need something that hits either repeatedly, or multiple players. Using it on yourself helps delirium but sets you back on card advantage, you'd need more draw too then.
@StumpyIB: I did run Spidersilk Armor in the very first build, but it wasn't really necessary. The +1 doesn't add enough power and the reach doesn't help because spiders already have reach on their own. It's good for flavor though!
Thanks for the comments and keep crawling :)

Me too! Glad to see I'm not alone in this, it has shot me a few times in the leg but it just really really bothers me to mix old fram with the new(er) one(s)!
As for another legit suggestion, I tried Languish as a board wipe on my version, justified by my spiddies supposedly fat bottoms but it did not perform as I hoped. :( The creatures in my meta tend to swell too quickly, so more often than not it just killed most of my spiders and left threats alive. In Garruk's Wake might work better, despite the atrocious mana cost and slightly off-flavor.

Cool looking deck! Been trying to find a way to get a spider tribal to work in EDH and I think I’ll take some notes on this one when I start.
Out of curiosity, why no Door of Destinies?

What about adding Door of Destiny? Perfect for a spider tribal deck.
