Hi there, another day, another deck !

Ok so, this one is a bit of a no-brainer : last year, my playgroup bought the 4 C19 precons, and I got the Sultai "Faceless Menace". I loved the deck, very fun to pilot, and I decided to upgrade it just a weeeeee bit ... and I think it went pretty well.

To sum up what I added : more ramp, more faced down creatures, and more card draws from faced down creatures.

Now, for some noteworthy interactions :

• Apex Altisaur + Finale of Devastation : as always, don't ever bother to play Finale of Devastation with X < 10. Pay X = 10 (or more) and get Apex Altisaur : you have a haste 20/20 (or more) that's gonna fight the entire board, and buff your board by +10/+10 ... throw in a Gift of Doom and victory is yours.

• Brine Elemental + Vesuvan Shapeshifter : this one is easy to set up, but easy to disrupt too. All you need is to turn face up Brine Elemental, and then turn face up Vesuvan Shapeshifter. At your next upkeep, turn Vesuvan Shapeshifter face down, then turn it face up again. That's it. No more untap steps for your opponents for the rest of the game - unless they kill one of your combo pieces, so make sure the control player is tapped out when you try to pull this out.

• Kheru Spellsnatcher + Vesuvan Shapeshifter : would you like to steal one spell per turn ? Well, you can ! Turn Kheru Spellsnatcher face up, counter your opponent's big one, play it without paying its mana cost, and, yes, do it again by turning your Vesuvan Shapeshifter up, down and up again. For 2 mana, one free spell a turn, that's neat, right ?

• Kadena, Slinking Sorcerer + Primordial Mist : this enchantment is very strong if you get morph creatures off the top of the library with Kadena, Slinking Sorcerer online. Get your face down permanent, draw a card, exile it to play it, use the 3-3=0 mana alternative cost provided by Kadena, Slinking Sorcerer to cast it face down again and draw another card. With Alchemist's Refuge, you do it twice !

• Eternal Witness + Strionic Resonator : get two cards back with one spell - it works with Den Protector too. Not much, but good enough. But again, Strionic Resonator is one of the best card in that precon, and synergises with pretty much everything : morph abilities, Kadena, Slinking Sorcerer draws, Wilderness Reclamation untap ability (convenient with Primordial Mist of Hooded Hydra), Whisperwood Elemental or Primordial Mist manifestation ability, Thieving Amalgam manifestation ability, etc.
