With the spoiling of Aryel, Knight of Windgrace (! new commander!) I'm rebuilding from Boros (Templars) to Orzhov (Teutonic).

Tactics

No infinite combo shenanigans, Just good ol' tank 'n spank, sword 'n board.

Play some Knights, have them swing their blades at the err.. opponents, and keep it up till you win.

What happened to the original commander for this deck?

Sadly, I decided to let Adriana, Captain of the Guard go due to her refusal to mount a giant panther, something Aryel, Knight of Windgrace put forward as one of her talents during her intake interview, which seemed very cool indeed. Boros is still a very valid style to build a Knight deck in, but you have to make choices in life..

Tokens?

With , Aryel (Ariel? I'mma call her Ariel) makes a 2/2 Knight Token with Vigilance.

Does this make a Token approach viable? Probably not, as there are only a handful of Knight Token producers (and then there is a difference between 2/2 Vigilance, 2/2 Ally, 2/2 Menace, or 1/1 Vampires). But let's face it, the new tokens look amazing;

So we should at the very least explore the option.

Using Tokens as a 'happy coincidence' rather than building around it would probably end up better, as there are more than enough regular Knights to work with. If the new white token doubler - Anointed Procession - does go in to help make the most of Aryel's ability, other Knights such as Hero of Bladehold, Knight-Captain of Eos, and Attended Knight (who are solid Knights on their own), as well as History of Benalia (which originally motivated me to build a knight deck) simply add more value.

In addition to Aryel, Dominaria also gives us Call the Cavalry and Josu Vess, Lich Knight as Knight Token producers. Josu especially makes for an interesting card as it seems expensive to kick, until you remember that we can run Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth with Cabal Stronghold / Cabal Coffers and make a gazillion mono-black mana that hasn't really got a purpose in a mostly-white Knight deck unless we include more 'X' cards. Ashnod's Altar'ing Josu and recasting him with Haakon, Stromgald Scourge would be a nice way to spend your mana as well.

Adding in Soldier Tokens would help as there is a bit more support for Soldier Tokens, but then it's not (Knight) tribal anymore. You could however make the argument that knights are simply soldiers who have had 'knighthood' / some form of nobility bestowed upon them and that they can command regular soldiers..

In that case the deck needs a complete rebuild, as this does open up a ton more options. Things like Dub could be boarded in to promote stronger soldiers like Thalia, Heretic Cathar or Baird, Steward of Argive, but certain artifacts like Heirloom Blade, Herald's Horn or Vanquisher's Banner, where you declare creature type, become less useful (though I suppose the negative effect is minor).

So, all things considered,... you could go the token way. I've decided not to do it for now. Anointed Procession is still in the deck because it is still useful as it helps Aryel, Josu, or History of Benalia, but these cards are splendid by themselves. It could just as well be cut out and replaced with something more useful.

What about swords, lances, why so little equipments?

Ah, fair question. Knights should use swords and shields after all. Well, to be completely honest - I ran out of money after commissioning Akroma's Memorial. That, and the weapons available that I could afford.. like Greatsword, Short Sword, or Jousting Lance, just felt a little underwhelming. Conqueror's Flail or Inquisitor's Flail would be nice additions, but this depends on the playgroup's meta.
