My Arcanis the Omnipotent EDH deck.

This deck wins by drawing cards, and Arcanis is a huge part of the deck’s plan, so getting him down early is very important. Unfortunately, he costs six mana. Fortunately, the deck plays tons of artifacts to ramp up as quickly as possible. All these artifacts, many of which tap for more than one mana, synergize nicely with the large number of ways to untap permanents that the deck already wants to play because they let us use Arcanis’s ability multiple times.

So, why draw all these cards? Well we could use something like Thassa's Oracle or Wizard Class to win, or we could just cast all the spells we draw with a Shark Typhoon out, but really we are trying to draw one of the combos listed below.

  • Isochron Scepter + Dramatic Reversal is the best because if you can produce at least two mana from your artifacts, and Arcanis, or any other creature with a tap ability is out, you can use their ability an arbitrary number of times. If you can produce at least three mana from your artifacts, the combo can also create infinite mana, which is best spent on something like a Blue Sun's Zenith.
