Anyone know how to mass update custom card categories? I kind of realized that the list is kind of hard to make sense of. Or maybe if anyone could tell me how to get the list to display in numerical order or something :p

Gifts Ungiven is in the banlist for Commander, and my MTG app says that Expropriate is not legal but I went to Google and couldn't find any proof that it's banned, so i will be adding it to my Derevi c:

This is an awesome list. I used it for my (Queen Marchesa) deck, thanks for all the help. What do you think about adding (Rite of teh Raging Storm)?

I would just consider that a good multiplayer card and not a "political" one. It could make your opponents hate each other a little more though haha.

It seems you missed one of the vows; Vow of Duty.

War Cadence can both be a bargaining tool, and make your opponents more enticing to attack.

War Tax is another Propaganda effect.

If you've got Felidar Cub on here, you might as well include Kami of Ancient Law, Ronom Unicorn, and Keening Apparition.

Perhaps Seal of Removal and Angelic Shield should be in there with the other seals?

Some pacifism effects only conditionally shut down the creature they're on, and thus can be used politically. Manacles of Decay and Gelid Shackles, for example.

Catapult Squad plus an ample amount of soldiers gives you incredible control over combat math. Players have to start asking you to let their creatures survive combat. Brigid, Hero of Kinsbaile and Ballista Squad do similar work.

Great list, thinking of building political Saskia the Unyielding, so this has been a huge help! Still, I gotta ask: why no Grenzo, Havoc Raiser? Goad is a great political tool that literally keeps your opponents from attacking you, and it can be great to make two players clash off of one another. War's Toll is another card it could be worth considering- maybe letting some creatures through your guard when everything swings, in exchange for all of your opps other creatures smashing into the guy across the table you don't really like. Otherwise, I'm super impressed!

I've been a fan of this list for quite a while, great stuff. I'm currently working on a political Queen Marchesa list and this thread has been a huge help. Why isn't Queen Marchesa on here? She falls into both the #1 and #2 categories if you allow your opponents to be the monarch.

A couple suggestions.

Farsight Mask falls into category 2.

I want to second Rite of the Raging Storm. While it's not technically "targeted" group hug I would still argue its a predictable form of group hug .

Added. Rite I guess gives people a reason to dislike one another at least

Im fairly sure Slumbering Dragon was missed, and I would probably put it under category 2. Acts as a real deterrent to not attack you, for fear of at least an 8/8 attacking you some time in the future. Key word is at least since it continues to grow.

Done! It triggers like Beastmaster Ascension and not Curse of Inertia right?

NativeBlasion says... #17

Essentially yes, though you can place +1/+1 counters on the dragon through other means to make it attack & block, such as Increasing Savagery

Uhhhh looks like Marchesa's Decree is in there twice.

Yeah there's probably a few like that. It's not really a bit deal.

Huh. Cant believe i missed that one. Thanks mate.

Edit: well actually its a bit of a corner case b/c it prevents attacking in general. Not just attacking towards you.

Beacon of Immortality can be used to political effect as you can use it to double your own life total, or to double someone else's.

Teysa, Envoy of Ghosts has the same kind of No Mercy effect, which you have listed.

ENZU says... #24

I'll add teysa but not the other as that would open the field to any targeted effect.

What about The Scarab God ? He might make people second guess attacking you when they know you can reanimate the Baleful Strix in your GY.
