A ramp/removal strategy, building mana while picking off choice enemy creatures for Tariel, Reckoner of Souls to enlist later. Once Tariel drops, a slew of untap effects set her off two or three times a turn. Backup fat like Malfegor, Angel of Despair and Tsabo Tavoc drive the final nails in. Graveyard cleaning tech is hardly necessary.

1. Shred Memory, while useful graveyard fixing tech for Tariel, is probably more useful as a tutor for Tariel-friendly accessories Lightning Greaves and Magewright's Stone, reanimator extraordinaire Nezumi Graverobber, or the vicious black sorceries Exsanguinate and Do or Die.

2. The deck's Sunforger package is a respectable 13 cards. Stars include Wild Ricochet, Fire Covenant and Hide/Seek.

3. Other beneficiaries of untap effects include Mother of Runes, Vein Drinker, Royal Assassin, Brion Stoutarm and, for the legend-heavy table, Tsabo Tavoc.
