This is an EDH deck that lets Nath of the Gilt-Leaf shine. Essentially, the play goes like this: Step 1) Nath joins the party; Step 2) You cordially invite your opponents to discard their hands; Step 3) You graciously provide the means for your opponents to draw many more cards; and Step 4) Continue from Step 2.

As any quick-thinking EDH player will note, this provides you with an infinite number of elves (or as close to infinite as necessary to make your opponents cry). And what can't you do with an infinite number of elves? :D

I have to admit that one card in here - Possessed Portal - just stems from my deep admiration for the ridiculous. EDH being the random grab-bag that it is, I've never gotten it into play, but it seems like it could be a serious lockdown. Considering that others' discards give you permanents, you could probably afford to just keep sacrificing elves (or heck, land) until all other permanents were gone. Then you can sac the portal to itself and continue with only your elves in play.
