This deck was built in spite of the huge price drop for Herigast, Erupting Nullkite in the week after MH3 was published.

It is a budget deck, that utilizes the emerge mechanic to bring out first Herigast, Erupting Nullkite and then use the board, that you have developed until then to emerge the bigger threats of the deck.

There are some "step stone" creatures to bring out Herigast quick like Priest of Urabrask,Oxidda Golem or Palladium Myr. These allow you to bring out your commander as early as turn four.

From there on you can try and take over your opponents creatures, attack them and then sacrifice them with the emerge ability into your next threat.
