If you're not still updating this deck, then sorry, but I think that (if it's in your budget) Erayo, Soratami Ascendant would work nicely here, because you can flip it very quickly.

K00lDudE1 Yeah it might not be banned in Dual commander or french but I don't pay any attention to those. In multiplayer EDH it is banned though.

Den Protector would be pretty decent in this deck. I like it, I plan to put Edric as a politics piece in my Ezuri deck soon.

Came here to confirm you knew about Slither Blade but I see you're on top of it :)
What did you take out to make room for it?

I changed Jhessian Infiltrator for the new naga. Half the power but also half the cost.
New Nissa is also really interesting. You could play her with just one loyalty counter and still be ablo to pop creatures into play straight from your deck. Ultimate is also quite similar to Garruks I think, you can either knock someone out or at least deal some damage.

Sweet deck, man! Have you considered deathtouch creatures? I run Gnarlwood Dryad, Sedge Scorpion, Narnam Renegade and Wasteland Viper in my Edric, and find they almost always end up getting their damage through. Plus, they deter attackers beautifully while chillin' with summoning sickness (or whenever else necessary). I'll paste a link to my deck below if anyone's curious.

Never thought about using deathtouch creatures but now that I think about it, they could actually be quite useful. Your opponents creatures are most problematic when they are on the board, so having some extra removal combined with a cheap body is pretty damn good. Need to throw in some scorpions and give 'em a go I guess. :P

First of all, I love the synergy in this deck and how affordable it is overall, but if any of you could make some costly upgrades to improve its overall efficiency, even though that kinda goes against the entire point, what would you choose? I figured I could save up for a few cards and throw them in at a later time.
Some obvious choices I've considered are: Mana Drain as a replacement for one of the 2-cmc counterspells and Force of Will as a replacement for pretty much any counterspell of your choice, considering the fact that it's practically a free spell. I considered Pact of Negation, but it goes against the low-cmc synergy of this deck.
Also, it might be overkill, but Gaea's Cradle would really take advantage of all creatures in play, allowing you to play most spells to your heart's content.
As far as single-target removal is concerned, what are your thoughts on Lignify and Reality Shift? They have a slightly higher cmc cost but arguably a more devastating effect. What control cards would you guys consider?

If you add up the cards in each category, there are only 99 cards listed theindigoeffect (and then Edric makes 100).
It's a weird defect on Tappedout where some decks seem to count the commander twice. I've noticed it in my own decks but haven't been able to find the pattern. Some of my decks show 100 cards and others show 101 - but when I edit any of them, the Main Board lists only 100.

New card coming out in Dominara, definitely goes in this deck. Makes almost every creature unlockable AND is a rogue. Idk what will come out though. Maybe a landwalker?
Tetsuko Umezawa, Fugitive1ULegendary Creature Human Rogue1/3Creatures you control with power or toughness 1 or less can't be blocked.

I probably won't be around here anymore friend, as I'm moving my deck/collection tracking to Archidekt. Thanks for all the inspiration, Edric is still one of my all time favorite decks, and you helped me take him from a $40 budget newbie deck to a $750+ behemoth. Stay gold. o7
