If you're trying to lower your CMC this might not be the best suggestion, but Momir Vig, Simic Visionary is great fun being able to tutor everytime you play an elf, especially with your commander bringing card draw to the party.

Copperhorn Scout is also amazing with mana elves of all shades and pseudo-vigilance also isn't bad.

I initially dismissed Momir Vig, Simic Visionary because I only have Edric, Spymaster of Trest, Coiling Oracle and Master Biomancer to satisfy the green and blue requirement to tutor & draw. Now that you mention Edric's draw ability, I suspect I was incorrect about this. Being able to play an elf first main, attack and draw it immediately to play second main is probably very powerful. You're correct that I do care about my average CMC here but I feel a few in the 5+ area are appropriate if the effect is strong enough. I'll give Momir a try. Thanks for the suggestion!

I did have Copperhorn Scout in a previous list. It was a tough cut because the effect can be powerful on the right board, but I felt like it was the weakest of the cards with that effect that I run - Wirewood Lodge, Wirewood Symbiote, Thousand-Year Elixir and Quirion Ranger.
