A Maro-based EDH deck, with Edric as a general. Think of it as draw beatdown, for the most part. There are a fair amount of Maro-like creatures (creatures whose power and toughness are equal to the number of cards in your hand) who can swing for insane amounts of damage (and can do it even harder with Overwhelming Stampede). If such a move is impossible, Surestrike Trident is used to deal heavy damage, while Psychosis Crawler can decimate an entire game. Laboratory Maniac is another win option, since self-milling is a high possibility. Draw effects in the deck are usually very heavy, often doubling the cards in hand. Because of this, there are a good number of cards that eliminate hand size. There are also shuffle effects as to not mill oneself, such as Elixir of Immortality, Kozilek, and Timetwister. Enemies are encouraged to keep you alive through Font of Mythos, Howling Mine, Rites of Flourishing, Temple Bell, and Edric himself; as long as you're alive, people will have a full hand (unless you've dropped Jin-Gitaxias onto the field). And if they somehow decide they should kill you anyway, well, just Forbid it (make sure to buy it back). Remember that you'll draw the pieces of your deck that you'll need faster than almost every player in the game (unless they can tutor, in which case you'll use Archmage Ascension to out-tutor them), so be sure to obtain a swift victory, or else your 20 card hand will look mighty suspicious. If you need to, for any reason, lose some of those cards, Mind Over Matter is the perfect way to do so (in fact, Temple Bell + Mind Over Matter is instant mill, while Arcanis the Omnipotent + Mind Over Matter + Laboratory Maniac is a quick way to win as well).
